Key fob programming

Postby kennett85 » Sat Jul 07, 2012 12:58 am

I bought a 1999 QX4 a few years ago and the previous owner had lost the key fob. So I purchased one online but I can't get it to program. I've followed the instructions here but when I finish with step 2 I don't get the hazard warning lamp to flash. :wtf2: I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right. So I'm not sure what could be wrong. Can someone help me out here.

Are you sure you have the right fob? Please post all of the numbers off the back.

The key fob I have is number 16 on this site.. But here is the info off the back.

Model/
FCC ID: KBRASTU09
Canada2111102950A
KANSEI CORPORATION
BRAND NAME INFINITI

I think that's what you meant. Why wouldn't my car enter programming mode whether I have the right key fob or not?

I would call your dealer to verify its right. I know for my 2001, there are two different FOBs, Model A and Model 01A.

You must do it quickly
If Nissan Motorsports is Nismo.. Wouldn't Honda Motorsports be...?

Me and 2 other people have tried to do it as fast as we can. And it still won't do it. Is it possible something could be wrong?
