Hey guys, I am trying to strip my manifold down to the essentials for ease of installation on my N/A KA. If someone knows a good description for one of the pictures + number of location, I can update the first post and this could be a good resource for me now, and others later. Also we can elaborate on any piece if there is more useful information on it for example-barb/hose diameter-runs from/to

manifold 11 - vacuum - IACV; connects to intake 2 -3 - PCV - connects to piece on engine block4 - coolant - throttle?5 - coolant - throttle?6 - coolant - connects to radiator, this is the OUTLET7 - coolant - goes to throttle body8 - coolant - connects to coolant passage on timing cover9 - coolant - temperature sensor

manifold 21 - IACV pipe2 - vacuum - FPR3 - vacuum - brake booster

throttle1 - coolant.2 - coolant.

allot of that crap you can bypass if your crafty enough...on the throttle body..those are coolant for the cold start crap...you can bypass that if ya like...on the verry back is the Idle Air Control valve...if your crafty..you can make a block off plate and bypass that..allso..your egr connects to the back of the manifold allso..you can make a plate for that and by pass it....while your there..you can remove the butteryfly paltes on the inside of the manifold..and you can just leave the bar in there..this lets you bypass the vacume line that goes to its diaphram plunger thingy..you dont need it:)...now....if your crafty..and dont mind checking on your system from time to time....you can bypass the coolant lines that run to the heater core@ the intake and outlet using expantion plugs..(the rubber ones)...you could clean up all that mess and cut off what ya dont need..but its up to you..allso...get a factory service manual..it has a diagram showing and naming everything you have listed..good luck.

I have looked through the FSM but wasn't able to come up with them all. I should have my intake done this week so I will update this thread.

If anyone knows what 4 and 5 are in the first picture that would be appreciated.

ok put up all of them except 1. I am also not too sure about 4 and 5 in picture one but I am certain they are coolant and that one goes to the throttle. This is tough to do since this part seems to be different for different manifolds.

I will also put up a picture of the places to attach hoses on the pieces attached to timing cover.

Here are a couple of pictures I've found that were useful to me when I put my cylinder head back on and needed to figure out the vacuum line routing.

These pictures aren't mine, the first one is from Matej and the rest are from vancouverbc. So don't mind the numbers.
