First off, thanks to everyone's posts and tips on doing these mods.

First up:
Low Beam changed from stock 4300K to 6000K. Bulbs from DDM Tuning.
Foglight bulbs changed to DDM Tuning HID Conversion kit, 6000K.
Parking light bulb changed to VLEDs wedge bulb in 6K to match low beam and fog lights.
Image

Second:
License plate bulbs changed to LED's.
VLEDs LED bulbs in 6K.
Image

Third:
All Weather Rubber mats for the front and rear.
Footwell lights changed to match Orange Inifniti door sill color.
At first I installed some LED's from VLEDs here but wanted to try the orange bulbs also since I want this to be an accent to the interior. The LED's just didnt look right to me. It was actually too bright IMO (I know, that's the purpose too! Hahaha) So I left the orange in.

All in all, everything took 3 hours to do.

Good stuff man, it looks nice. I want to do this mods myself but I go crazy when I have to match the light bulb numbers and then since I'm kinda cheap I go to like a hundred different websites trying to find the best price, but one has the 9001 cheaper but another has the H1 cheaper over there, one 55w but the other one 35w and all that good stuff, so I just left it alone. it'd be nice if one of us on the forum (one of you guys) came un with the "M45 LED kit" just put together the package of all the little lights and bulbs and everything else we need to do this, in a packet and sell it for what you paid for it plus $5 "making your life simpler" fee.

Looks nice, a weekend well spent. The fuzz should have zero problems reading that license plate now ;)

I pretty much referenced the FAQ section on which one to get.

I love the headlights. Is it the 55w kit from DDM? and the H1 bulb?

Thanks!
I think stock HID's are 35w (low beam). So all I did was swap out the bulbs for D2S 6K.
For the fogs, I got the 35w H11 Conversion Kit in 6K since I read somewhere that the 55w might be too much or too hot for the fog lights so I didnt want to risk it.

did you have to buy the relay for the fog light conversion? also was there any delay when they turn on using AUTO feature?

No I did not have to buy the relay. Everything was plug and play. At first there was a slight, half second delay when I first turned the fogs on but not anymore. I left them on for a good 15 minutes to see if I got any flicker or cut out but nothing. So far I've turned them on and off about 10 times since installed just to check. I guess the DDM kit's are pretty solid but only time will tell.

If all you did was change the bulbs, then yes, you are still 35w. DDM includes the same bulbs whether you by a 55w kit or a 35w kit. What makes it 55 or 35 is the ballast...which you are still using your OEM ones meaning you're still 35w.

And you probably read my post about the fogs. Definitely don't recommend 55w in the fog light.

No problem. I learned much of what I know about cars on Maxima.org and NYCMaximas.org. I can now tackle pretty much any project. That's the beauty of these online communities. Just try to pass along and knowledge I can to the next owner, young or old.

Did you use the adapters to connect the general purpose bulbs to D2S? Or straight bulb replacement?

it's only a slight less lumen betweel 4300 and 6000. it's still good. those who replace their headlight, do you have to remove the wheel and the liner or you can do it other way?

I don't see how you can do it without removing the wheel and liner. Plus, the headlight bulb is sunk in a little bit towards the front so trying to get to it from the top would be nearly difficult. But once you remove the liner, everything is right there and easy to work on.

I have my own lift in my garage, so I usually drop the liner and not remove the wheel. Once I do this, this give me access from the top (if I remove the airbox on the driver side) or the bottom. I prefer the bottom.

That's what she said.

Anyone have experience with 5K Low beams? How did those look/turn out? What about 3K fog lights?

My dilema is either:
6K Low/6K Fogs
or
6K Low/3K Fogs
or
5K Low/5K Fogs
or
5K Low/3K Fogs

lol, im very indecisive!! Thanks in advance!

This is my opinion:

6K Low/6K Fogs - Looks classy! Plus, my car is white so I thought the color scheme of the 6K would go well.

6K Low/3K Fogs - All racer Honda's and Acuras in my area do this.

By the way, my bro installed DDM 5K's on his Odyssey and the color output is pure white. Barely any hint of blue. Going 5K low and fog was my second option but I wanted the hint of blue.

I had 5K in my lows but took them out when I thought my AFS system was messing up (turns out there was nothing wrong  ) I liked them b/c they weren't quite as yellow as 4300K, but not quite as whitish/bluish as 6K . It honestly depends on your preference. Never got to take pictures of them though sorry...I will definitely be putting them back in once it's nice out again. I have 3K fogs in my car now, but have 4300K bulbs for the fogs as well sitting in my garage. I swap my fogs out often depending on the look I want.

I've been running 6/3 (with my 6 being 55w so it's closer to 5k or 5500k).

However, my fogs just died so I am thinking of going 6/6 this time.

you bought your hid conversion fog from ddmtuning correct? if so, are they going to send you a replacement free of charge?

If I talked to them, they would but 1) they would have me troubleshoot and 2) it would take too long.

I'm getting another 3k kit (decided to keep it the same). For the money they cost, I might as well just buy it and take my car apart once as opposed to 2 or 3 times. Just not worth it. I rather spend $50 every time they die than spend 30-40 minutes 2 or 3 times getting in there.
