I understand the fact that its a "public street". I wasnt asking for them not to park here but to park on the side with the field and to be considerate and leave parking in front of the peoples homes. I dont understand why people have to be a$$hols about it. I asked nicely several times. He replays with a very rude and immature email. I feel like why should I have to park on the next street over when I live here and they are only here for about an hour. In my case I have 2 kids I dont feel like carrying around the block along with my work crap just because these parents dont feel like parking down the street or even in the school parking lot.
Just because they were acting like a$$holes does not give you the legal right to act the same. I'm sure if the coach had called the cops and they determined you were not on a job , you would have been ordered to move it, gotten ticketed, or towed. You are not above the law. And the coach could have easily gone one step further and report your illegal behavior to your superiors.
Instead of being a vigilante, a wiser next step might be to contact the school principal or superintendant and discuss the problem with someone above the coach and request they instruct the parents/coach to use the school parking lot instead of the street during games.
