Hi,

I've purchased a imported 370 gt from japan as they're not sold in australia. My center console buttons are in Japanese and i'd like to know if anyone sells oem replacements in english. I'd also like a passenger side interior door panel. My car is right hand drive.

Please get back to me at you convenience.
Thanks

Try ebay also. If you can't find any try to call or send email to Riverside infiniti They are on ebay too and they can either list one for you on ebay or sell it to you thru their service.

Oh and as others said. Welcome to Nico and would lovew to see your skyline.

thanks for help guys. i'll give infinitiparts a go.

my one concern is, if i manage to get a new unit, will i be able to just do a straight swop and everything will work? I don't have an owner manual in english either, so shooting in the dark right.

And, i'm pretty new to forums to not sure how I add pics?

Here is a service manual. It might help you to deal with this.

Welcome to NICO!

You can get the other manuals here as well: http://www.infinitig37.com/coupe.html

Right column near the bottom are all the G37 coupe manuals. If you need sedan or Convertible, select the sedan or Vert page links at the top.

By looking at your pictures again. Remember somebody was asking about this before. You probably need the english version of the software to show up in english on the dotmatrix screen and the info screen at the center console.

There is a member here with a G35 coupe Andy. He might can help you. He is Aussie too. He probably experienced some of the issues you having. You should pm him. Just a thought.

When in the settings screen under "others" can you not change the language to English? I know the US models allow changing to French or Spanish (Japanese is not an option tho) but I don't know if the Japanese version will allow it to be changed to English or not.....might be difficult to determine where that setting is if you don't know Japanese tho :)

I can figure out my way to others based on the info you guys shared with me, so I can get the screen where there are two menu items. The one seems to take to voice activation stuff and the other seems to take me to settings for what looks like 3 drivers? I can add more pics of the steps, but let me see if I can track this Andy fellow down.

You can look at the 2010 Nav users guide and search for "language" to see where the screens are and possibly how to get there. May be pointless if English is not an option (I don't know if it is).

English not an option,so far this is looking like a very expensive excercise. Have to replace both buttons and DVD unit to get it in english. And because it's a USA base, the map companies that do the maps for infinti over there, don't sell maps for australia. Still searching for answers, but if I can into the code, there should be something in there which dictates the language

Update:

Us version a no go.
Canadian version will work, bar sat nav and cameras.

Seems like I need to figure out how to do a backup and restore of HD. Get into code and reprogram it myself. Then use stickers on the console.

Apparently the ruskies have got this right, but it's hard to find anything on non English forums.

Nissan oz refuse to help, whole new system $12000

Hey Mr_crystal.......it seems from your old posts that you've done plenty of research into converting a 370GT Jap cantre console/dash into English. Can you help me out, as I've just brought a 370gt and need help doing the conversion. Hopefully you managed to find a nifty solution to either upload english software via DVD, re-programme HDD, replace Jap head unit with Canadian one????

I assume no solution on the GPS front but thats not really of concern.

Thanks - appreciate the help. I'm in Perth too btw.

Hi Mr_Crystal,
I have recently purchase a Slate Blue, October 2007 Nissan Skyline V36 G37 Coupe from Japan and saw your post regards the Japanese centre console plus the owners manual which is also in Japanese.
Are you able to advise me if you were successful in getting a replacement centre console in English and also an English Manual, where you purchased them from and what they cost.
Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Saw the photo's of your car( it looks great) and it looks like mine with the exception of the wheels which are the original wheels on my car.
Thanks mate

Here's some links fellas

http://www.skyline-gt.com/filedump/v36-translation2.pdf

http://www.xanavi.com.au/Xanavi/Xanavi_Language.html

I've done one, which has a bit more detail. But in all honesty, the hard tuned one is best. If you want mine, it's in ppt and file is massive.

Hi Mr_Crystal,

Thanks for the information . Greatly appreciated. The Japanese to English conversion listed in the second reference,
http://www.xanavi.com.au/Xanavi/Xanavi_Language.html does that also apply to the V36 unit as well as I noticed the reference only covers V35 to 11/2005.
Cheers

They've been talking about v36 for some time now with no success.
I had my car for 4 years and got used to the menus and the Japanese hardly stayed and issue.

My two cents, if you buy an import, deal with it :-)

The effort and cost involved outweighs what you'll finally get as I spent a lot of time on this myself, and hence the reason I just accepted it in the end.

You'll need to call xanavi guys direct. Their numbers are listed on the site. Trust me, I had mine for 4 years with the Japanese. You'll get used to it.
