Hello Everyone.

First let me start off by saying I am no Skyline owner. Regardless, nicoclub.com is a very informative and helpful forum. The Skyline section is one of the best maintained sections on a forum I've seen on a website.

Now for my post. I spotted what looks like a Skyline R34 GTT is my neighborhood recently. Given that this type of car is nowhere near common in my area, I'd like to know if you guys think it was authentic. I'm thinking it's either that, or some kit car. The GTR emblem on the back, and Silvia emblem on the hood in front seemed weird to me. Just tryin to confirm what I saw from those who probably know better.

Below is a direct link to the album since photobucket was being weird with direct links.

Yep, that's an R34 Skyline. Not a kit.

As to whether it's a legit GT-R, that'd be a question for the guys who know the badging and trim better than I do.

Likely a grey-market ride.

Thanks for the response. I now have pictures I would have edited in, but I couldn't find the edit button..

The first post only had the back shots as far as I could see but now that I can see the front that's definitely a GT-T with a GT-R badge stuck on. The GT-R had a single exit pipe and more pronounced rear flares from the factory (You can also make out a 2.5GTsomething badge on the bumper, funny that the owner didn't remove that when he threw on the GT-R badge) but the biggest giveaways are in the front shot - the GT-R had a much more aggressive front bumper, a big GT-R logo in the grille and no "S" symbol (stands for Skyline not Silvia), and if you look on the dash you can see the hardest part to fake - no MFD. The GT-T had those three gauges instead of the swanky LCD display.

And I'm pretty sure that's not a Federally legal car since AFAIK Motorex only legalized a handful of R34 GT-Rs, no GT-Ts or other variants.

GT-Rs had twin tips off the exhaust, as well...

I stand corrected on that then. So many R34s out there with aftermarket exhausts that it's rare to see the OEM ones lol.
