Video and iPod Out not supported.
Apple updated the connection port because most of the old pins weren't used anymore. The new one is smaller and simpler, which is good for shrinking the phone to new levels of thinness. Furthermore the new connecter is reversible and magnetically secured, so you don't have to fumble around so much with it to get it connected correctly. It's a very welcome change for me.XIS wrote:Dang progress!
I am sure there are iPhone experts here... To you I ask, what is the difference in the two options? One is very much smaller with more(?) connectors? What does the new one do that the old one didn't?
Although initially rumored to me magnetic, this is not the case. Would have been a great change if it were more like MagSafe, though...Teknical wrote:XIS wrote: Furthermore the new connecter is reversible and magnetically secured...
The phone isn't meant to work directly with the screen on the 2008. Only on newer models will the album artwork be shown automatically. You can however view video output if you bought a video converter for your iPhone. That output would be connected to the video RCA inputs in your center compartment.ddean0612 wrote:i cant use my small tv with my iphone 5, i have the parking breake and the emergency and i cant use the tv at all not evenm with the 4s -_- very upseting, any to fix tyhis with out having to put the relay thingy
