more pics up of the swap...just got it ready to start up but that will wait till monday.....it was a slow day cuz last night me and my boy got into a pretty bad accident in jersey city....some arse hole cut a corner to tight and was in our lane and we swirved to avoid a head to head...but lost control cuz the rain and slammed into a guard rail...everyone was fine but his civic was totalled! :gotme

Your coolant hoses are on backwards. lol

Top goes to the front.

yeah i know...my helper put that on wen i went for a coffee run and wen i got back we were closing up shop so i gotta switch it

man your off to a good start bro and workin quick. :dblthumb:

def a good thing you got a new water pump :ohno: i noticed pic of motor going into bay that there is a huge dent in side of oil pan. i hope your not keeping that one and you have a better condition pan.

i see your using butt connectors in bay...personally i would solder all connections and use heat shrink to make waterproof. ive seen way too many crimp connectors fail and cause intermittent signals.

good to hear your going to do suede on door cards and put somethings back to new oem...best look you can possible get.

oh and awesome job on keeping a/c ;)

thanks man, all that means alot! yeah i got a newer pan and all dents were removed and its like new now!
i wanted to redo my entire harness once she was running to make it all pretty again and not so ragged so when i do that ill practice my soldering skills and redo those connectoions

suede and oem is deff the way to go! its crazy how much ur taste can change with a lil bit of time and knowledge!

im reaallllly proud of how well the ac came out actually, i went at it with no real plan of attack and i came out with the win!

so today we worked on the car more and fixed some small thing and filled her up with fluid...attempted to start up the motor for the first time....turned the key and nothing happened! lmao then noticed we left the battery in the office lol oops! :facepalm:
got that squared away...prayed b4 turning.....and POW!!!!!! she came to life! first shot!!!! i was sooooo relieve and happy!! oh yes! ca18det is on the go! lol

hooked up coolant res. and line to fill new rad with fluid! that thing took an a** load of antifreeze!

bout to fill with oil... regular 5w30 for now to get things lubed until we swap out for Mobil 1 fully syn!
did the same with transmission until i get my redline mt 90 oil in a day or so

getting some work done...good job on everything. i like your seat choice too ;)

hey i noticed your rad shroud is all chewed up. i have a mint ca18det shroud with stainless steel mounting screws if your interested.
it really looks brand new too :dblthumb:

more progress done.... it was a slow day cuz i had a hangover :spitout: lol made some progress b4 noticing i need a few more things from the parts store...but not until pay day! or wen they get shipped in if i gotta order em :(

took out that crappy silencer..looks good... wonder about the sound now lol

bolted/tack welded on the intercooler....did some test fits with the bumper and cut some of it away...sits good and has plenty of open space

all hooked up! plenty of space to run a 51 or 51R battery until i relocate it to the hatch
also didnt install BOV yet cause i have to find a place that has a aluminum welder...idk



thats it for now....gotta gather up some more parts to continue.... small snag in the road for now
guess ill work on the interior stuff for now until that comes in!

yeah it was the shroud i ran last year. i cant use it now with the powered by max hmic.

also quick question... a sensor broke off of my intake manifold that i believe has to do with idle, but idk what its called... what is it and were can i get it? how bad will the car run until its replaced.

its the hex shaped sensor thats touching that hose (sorry for the pik steal....ur piks come in handy! lol)

That Hex piece (top center of pic) you're talking about is part of the IACV (idle air control valve)

anytime bro...yeah its called IACV. your car will run like crap without it especially when your turn on a/c. it idles the motor up when accessories are on.
