I have the entire intake off upper and lower runners.
I have been cleaning the valley up.

I am replacing knock sensors and all the vacuum hoses.

I broke the wiring harness for the knock sensors.

Does anyone have a part # for the knock sensor wiring harness?

Can I use this aftermarket harness? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Knock-Sensor-Wi ... 95&vxp=mtr

Any tips for getting to the rear bolts closet to the strut tower on the valve cover? I can't seem to get to it from any angle.

The A/C idler pulley is discontinued. Mine has a noisy bearing 630ILU NTN is stamped into it, but this also seems unavailable. Where can I get a new one?

Pretty sure I damaged all of my injectors during removal DOH! Any source on reasonably priced replacements? I am confused by the options I have seen, does the q45 use different injectors in each hole?

That knock sensor subharness doesn't look right. I think that's for the 97-01. The part you need is 24079-60U00. If it hasn't gone non-stock from Nissan you could order it from someplace like www.orderinfinitiparts.com.

Check out this parts interchange search on NTN's site... http://www.ntnamericas.com/en/

If I were replacing injectors at this point, these would be tempting. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-GENUI ... 2f&vxp=mtr

Thanks for the advice. I will give my Inifiniti dealer a call with that part #. The parts department there is less than helpful, so having the part #s really helps me.

Any idea of a list for all the vacuum and IACV hoses for the plenum removal? I have the rocker breather hoses already, but need ALL of the rest.

I just picked up the injectors today. Had my rail cleaned, resealed, 8 reman injectors, fuel hose and all seals for $450. Not as bad as expected, but definitely my most expensive gas injector job to date.

I haven't removed the intake myself but I do know that the valve cover bolts you were talking about are easier to get to from under the car believe it or not (driver side theirs a nice open spot you can slide your arm and a wrench in to unbolt

That is what I was thinking, going under the car that is. I got the driver side no problem. Pass side rear bolts are giving me hell. I am going to give it another go tonight after work and try and finish pass side removal and install.

Still waiting on parts guy at stealership to get price quote on a new injector harness. Everything else is on order. Another $700 in parts WOW

u should have gone with aftermarket injectors, I read a previous post here on NICO that due to the increase in ethanol in gasoline now days, the stock injectors and fuel lines can't handle it and its better to go with aftermarket injectors that can handle the "up to 10% Ethanol" content. please correct me if i'm wrong.

Eh, my injector guy said its cool and he has over 30 years experience. I agree injectors tolerant to ethenol would be a plus, but when I asked him about aftermarket and showed him the upgrade options I had found he said it wasn't worth the $, that the injectors I am using will work just fine.

On a side note, I am having a hell of a time getting to the back 2 bolts on the valve cover closest to the ABS box. My hands are all cut up and I can't seem to catch a break.

I have tried everything, going from underneath: gets me close enough to touch the bolt, but not enough room to get a wrench on let alone turn it.

Going from the top I can get a 2 inch extension and socket in 1/4 drive on the back bolt, but then no room for a socket wrench.

About ready to just deal with a leaky valve cover for the rest of this cars life and say f*** it.

Maybe a crows foot would work, but then we get back to not enough room. The angle at which they point out toward the strut towers makes it very hard to get to. How the f*** do they do it?

Anyone been there done that have any tips?! Please!

I borrowed some swivels and extra small 1/4 ratchets from work. Will give it another go tonight.

Success! 2 inch 1/4 extension, with ball swivel at the end and short 10mm socket. Along with a flex head 1/4 ratchet in small size (head rotates 360). Took less than 5 minutes to get both the hard bolts.

Having the right tool really makes life easier. I wasted over 3 hours, lots of blood and a sore back attempting removal with the wrong tools. I will now be purchasing the proper tools so I do not have to borrow again next time.

Now I am just waiting on the 600$+ hoses, gaskets, and knock sensor harness. Will probably have to buy a few at a time as I can't afford to drop that much more $ right now.

Getting closer!

Thanks for all the help guys, I will keep updating.

Any one know what size the vacuum and coolant hoses under the intake are? I am going to buy some silicone hose and replace what I can to avoid the high cost of dealer and discontinued parts.
I already have the rear rocker cover breathers, but need basically every other hose ... This and the knock sensor wiring harness are the only things stopping me from putting it back together.

I am going to bite the bullet an pay 150$+ for the knock harness, but want to use aftermarket hose where I can ..
