I am keen on buying these 550cc jecs matched flow set injectors and fitting a dw300 fuel pump onto my 1989 Q45a.. I would like to know if this is a good move or not? The injectors are compatable with 93 to 96 infiniti q45. Thanks in advance!!

90-93 injectors are one style... 94-96 are another. You need the 90-93 style unless you're updating your fuel rails or using rail adapters.

FI Forced Induction VIA turbo or supercharger.... Nico ecu, you are kidding right? You would need an entire new tune for the 550cc injectors. More gas means you need more air. Where is it going to come from? Either turbo or supercharger. Scratch the 550cc idea as you are creating a mess.

Maybe I am kidding. Haha I am just picking ppls brains. I have a mate running NA motor with oversize injectors and a separate throttle body for each cylinder with a haltech ecu... no FI !. I am a diesel mechanic and I am playing with cars for fun as they are alot simpler... my questions may sound stupid but I would rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake.

Separate throttle body, there ya go, more air. As a "diesel" mechanic, you should probably know a bit about injectors as well as their compatibility. If you look stupid, and you act stupid, chances are....

Recollecting from a post byQ45tech, the injectors already max out the stochimetric air/fuel ratio for the Q45 Engine. Bigger injectors = more unburned fuel.
The newer 94-96 injectors/rail mean your injectors will fail less often with ethanol fuels.
Besides, there is no such thing as a 1989 model year Q45.

Cool! I had thought they only sold the G50 badged as the Nissan President over there.

RE: Injectors, etc. that means there might be other emissions difference/parts differences vrs US. I am sure you know that already.

The Q was introduced in 89. The president in 90-02 (G50). They made the Q (G50) from 89-97 and was the ONLY "infiniti" badged car sold in Japan domestically. Your 93 could be more like a USDM 94 depending on the production date. His injectors are identical to the USDM stock ones. Ethanol was never really introduced to the Japanese Market until last year. Although they have E85 stations...

So no one gets confused on this thread... I have three Q45's. I cross checked the 93 part numbers in australia with infiniti parts usa and found my 93 is the same as the us 93 q45. Cheers. There were only 200 93 q45's released in australia for 140,000$ each.... a fun fact!

Production dates are key on JDM vehicles sold outside the US. They frequently throw in a .5 year model or extend production dates slightly. They complicate things a little more. Your 93 must be an early production model because the later JDM 93 was equipped with the refresh of the USDM 94 Q45. Yes the price tag difference was astronomical as the same car sold for less than half that amount 4000 miles north. They weren't cheap in Russia either. Also, you couldn't just "buy" a Q45 or president when they first came out in Japan. Even if you had the money you had to be some sort of VIP, royalty, or executive.
