The current issue of Nissan Sport has a First Drive article on the new Infiniti M56T. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to drive it's stablemate, the M37 until recently. I can now report the M37 was quite impressive. The addition of the VQ37VHR seems to make the new M feel more lively at speed. Don't get me wrong; it's still a BIG car, but the terminal understeer is less pronounced with the V6. Prospective M37 owners won't notice a huge lack in speed either, as the VQ37VHR matched with the seven speed autobox provides plenty of motive force. Mileage was 15-20% better, but that might not matter much to customers who opt for the HUGE V8 grunt available in the more expensive M56.

I did a relatively detailed test drive on a M37x and while I did like it I found it a tad too wide for me. Still an awesome car. I wish I had gotten my hands on a M56....maybe next time ;)
