illuminated kick plates?

Postby marlin29311 » Sat May 24, 2008 7:56 pm

Anyone know how you could possibly get illuminated kick plates on the A/c? I know that the murano has them and that you can get them on the G37...

You could probably wire your own? Strip of LED's, some wires, a sensor for open / close door? Shouldn't be too difficult I don't think.

This is probably what you'd be looking for

And have it installed to have it look like

It's a very legit question. I'm fabricating some right now. Should be installed within a month as soon as I get rid of the rattling when I crank the typr-r's in my trunk.

since when did post count dictate whether a person is right or wrong?
you yourself dont have a high post count so you're basically contradicting your self

now back to the topic....honestly too much light is ugly. the stock bulbs do a great job at illuminating the interior...i would not want annoying blue lights to blind me every time i open the door...why dont you save your money and buy a set of xentec HID's...thats the only lighting mod you can actually benefit from

Thanks for making my point for me. I keep it to myself because of that very reason. And the count doesnt make a difference, so let's just not say anything like that. Easy enough, huh?

I saw an ac with very dim accent lights when I was working on a custom install for a buddy who plays for the cardinals (cant say his name, but if you wanna look it up he's 6'3 and 330) Another guy had done it, but he thought it looked too dim, he wanted something more flashy. I turned it up and installed some more led's, but I LOVED the dim effect. I wish I would have taken pics. But anyway now thats what I'm workin on. It's a metal kick plate I fabricated, but it has amber plastic in thin strips running down, and the led's illuminate the strips. It's HOT. haha only when it works though. Havin some issues still.

Let me rephrase that:

Dude! Get a Life.

Save your $$ for gas. At the rate things are going, you'll need it.

I had a 'post count' before the Internet existed. It's called 'Life'.

Personally, I am interested in the future possibilities of converting our motors to electric or Hydrogen.

Are you really trying to tell this man what to do with his money? WTF? Are you serious bro. The "life" you supposedly have has no merit on these forums. Everyone here has there own life, and chooses to live it and frequent these forums as they so please. Your post count and reputation here will and does matter as long as you choose to spout off in these forums. Posting constructivly with points and logic make for much better communication, but Im sure you have realized this already, you having the greatest life here and everything Either post with sense, of STFU and bounce.

I LOVE the infiniti illuminated kick plates. It'd be awesome if there was something like that for the AC which said Altima or Nissan.

What's there not to like? Looks nice and classy. If anyone's flaming the op for asking about it they need to get a life of their own and keep unsolicited, nonconstructive, negative opinions to themselves.

I think just "Nissan" or "Altima" would be best. But I don't think either exist anyhow, not in an illuminated form anyways. I remember looking a long time back and coming up empty.

Yeah no ones really made them yet, at least not into production. Start Emailing companies! that's how this stuff gets done. Get someone to do a photoshop and send it to the company and tell them theres a demand, then maybe link them to our forums. theyre not gonna read your mind. I'll do it too!

Best first post ever! haha I'm half kidding, but thanks for not taking sides or anything. Seriously guys, the flaming has no place here and to the jerk up top, we're glad youre here but please be constructive. I think this is my fault partly too, I was the first to respond back, shoulda just kept on with the original topic.
Bournealtimatum, sorry man. I just got ahead of myself and took it out on you too. I think we actually agree here I just misinterpreted you.
So the flamings over, but seriously nightrain, keep it to yourself man. I was kinda hoping to leave the drama behind when I graduated high school.

Get over yourselves!

If 'lighted kick plates' make your life complete, by all means go for it... I could really care less.

I'll be trading my A/C in for a GT-R soon anyway...
