Yeah I have done similar with my computer..... hmmm... .... I think I may go down to the dealership pick up a set of aluminum kick plates and work on those......

Im just imagining a few strips of that running along the panel... with a plexiglass cutout ontop.... laying the colored vinyl insideout on the plexiglass.... nice install!

we're using 1/8 inch thick plexiglass, cut in the shape of the current aluminium kickplate.

haven't finalized the details yet, but when I do, I'll let you know what we decide.

I want this too I haven't gotten any kickplates yet and I have the plastic fail default ones.

"we" is me and my custom install guy. We are working on this together.

If it looks nice, I may start to offer them on ebay and to you guys on the forum. We'll see how folks like them, but I imagine that folks are unanimously gonna like them... how can you NOT like illuminated kick plates???????

What folks may not like is the finish... and that's something that we are working on. Right now my plan is to do vinyl over plexiglass , but I may want something that will last a little better overtime... in any case, as always, I'll have pics up of the progress...

You do know that 03-04 maybe the 05's have only +10HP and weigh an extra 200-300LBS over the A/C right?? Unless you would like to defy the laws of physics you should be beating or matching early G coupes. That is if you are talking about a straight line.

regarding the g's, I think youtube clips have shown that CVT 3.5 A/C's beat 03-06 G35's from a stand still... don't know about MT A/C's vs 03-06 MT G35's though, my guess is the A/C would win those also.

Remember that the 03-06 power ratings were done under the non standard ratings... so they may, or may not have really had 275 horses... but regardless, those extra 5 horses aren't enough to overcome the superior CVT vs auto trans and the 200lb less curb weight of the A/C vs G35... but in the end, its all NISSAN!!! We should be arguing over destroying Honda Civc Si's and Honda Accords anyway!
