I30--What type of oil to use???? Need help

I have a 2001 i30 and im not sure what type of oil to use.... Right now Im running on 10w30 full synthetic but its running sluggish and rough like if the car is running cold.. Should I be using 5w20 in the winter???

You can try running 5w30.

I run 5w30 in mine personally. I use Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic or Extended Life Synthetic, with a Mobil 1 filter and never have had any issues.

Let it warm up to normal operating temperature before driving
If it still runs in a sluggish mode its probably something else besides oil
Maximas like synthetic oil. I use Mobil 1 with the OEM filter since my
mechanic said other oil filters bypass valves might not work

What kind of maintenance work has been done on the car?
