I bought a 2013 G37 Coupe.

Being a 2013 w/15000 miles, it has about 2 years left on the BtoB warranty (4yr60K).
And a bunch of Powertrain warranty (6yr70K).


And I am not itching to greatly Modify the car.
However.....one of the coupes I test drove def had a lower/louder exhaust note. And I have never seen any car with the exhaust tips so far up under the car
except certain wimpmobiles.....Like my 05 Grand Marquis.....

So I wonder if I put a Megan muffler on....would I void my warranty? Anybody test this theory with an in warranty G?
And if the Megan is verboten, would they look more kindly on the S muffler?

I have driven several cars with modified exhausts - the dealer likely won't give you any grief at all unless you start modifying emissions components. Then it gets tricky.

For the most part, I wouldn't be concerned. The only thing you would have to worry about is if the aftermarket part you put on contributes to another failure of some sort. If they can determine that, for example, your new muffler broke your hangars on the underside of the car somehow, they wouldn't cover the repair.
