Same here... my back is hurting after long rides. I noticed the seats are definitely stiffer than my other cars. I was hoping that maybe cause I didn't choose leather vs the cloth that I would save a few thousand on the option, but turns out your also having the same problem with leatherwbloomfield wrote:.. MacRogue wrote:OMG, I'm having the same problem with my front seat. I have manual seats and thought the leather/pwr seats would adjust better but apparently not from reading this discussion. I have a bad lower back and am constantly adjusting my seat to find a good position. I've tried about 6 different cushions, including the wedge with the tailbone cut out, to no avail. I was planning to go to a dealer this weekend to check out a Rogue with leather seats to see if it makes a difference. I'm 5'4" and need to have the front part of seat tilted forward. Unfortunately with the manual seats, the height and lumbar adjustments are combined. I really like the Rogue, but if I can't find some way to make the seats work, I may have to trade it for something else. I spend way too much time in my vehicle to be uncomfortable and in pain.

The seat is mounted on a stamped steel frame which is then bolted flat to the floor with 4 TORX bolts. Although there is room underneath the seat, there is no way to lower it short of cutting & welding the frame. This would seriously compromise the safety of the seat.
Here is the page from the FSM. BTW, there are no instructions for disassembling the seat frame itself, just removal of the covering, cushion and plastic pieces.

Hmm... This could actually be what I need. I googled this product and looks like there are so many different models. Which one did you buy and what have you noticed? Worth spending?MacRogue wrote:I think I may have finally found the right seat cushion that helps with the seat problem. It's called the McCarty's Sacro-Ease, and I bought it at a back store for $125 w/o tax. This was my last resort before trying to trade-in the Rogue. I could feel an immediate difference with this cushion. My seat feels even now, and I have better back support. If all goes well, I'll be keeping my Rogue.

MacRogue wrote:The tag says McCarty's Sacro-Ease BRSM. It has made a world of difference. This one doesn't have much padding, but it has really helped. I saw a different one in the store with memory foam and more padding that ran around $219. Without the cushion my legs were always higher than my tush, and it was causing a lot of discomfort. I felt like I was sinking down into the seat. I was constantly adjusting the seat to try to find the right position so I wouldn't feel pressure/pain in my thighs, back, & hips. With this cushion, my legs and tush are level, and I'm not adjusting my seat. It is definitely worth it! I'm loving my Rogue again.
Thank you very much for sharing these photos. Now, I must find a place near me to try this out... Can I ask you why you didn't like the memory foam one?? Also, the seat would be flatter with either one?MacRogue wrote:Here are some pics I took. It come in tan or grey also. I went back to the store to exchange the one in the pic for one with the memory foam and did not like the memory foam cushion at all. I returned it the same day and got the original one back.
