This is a brief description how to install the Beat Sonic Module.

After watching the teardown process on how to get to the radio from the Youtube video below, follow my pics on how to install the Beat Sonic version since the video below is the Prestigious version.

Unscrew the top two silver screws

Unscrew the bottom silver screws(PULL THE RADIO OUT GENTLY, there are a lot of cables back there.)
Image

Disconnect the 2nd wire harness (left to right). Directly under the one thats already disconnected in the picture.
Image

Plug in your 2 sided TVK56 harness into the radio and then reconnect oem harness into the TVK56 harness.
Image

(SAME PICTURE AS ABOVE) Locate the TVK56 ground wire(HOLDING IN MY HAND). You might have to unplug all the harness to get to the grounding point. If you don't need to then don't. I did.

I used the unused hole shown in between the radio brackets(THERE ARE 2, PICK ONE). You are going to have to screw in from the back side since the front is plastic. The rear is metal.

follow red line that indicates the ground wire and where/how I grounded it. Screw through the back side. I also placed a washer in between the plastic and the metal(not sure if needed but I did it). You're going to need a stubby screwdriver or a 1/4 ratchet with a bit attachment.

Plug in your switch cable and run it to where you want the switch placement. I ran mine out the drivers side where your calf if but have it tucked away under the panel. There is really no need to turn it on/off. I keep mine on. If you need to turn the DVD off just switch it out of DVD mode on the console.

This is parked with emergency brake NOT applied. It will remain this way while driving. Same goes for Navigation.

Now, just reassemble in reverse order. I took a lot pictures but like I stated above, the Youtube did a good job of breaking down the center console process. Hope this helps.

About time someone posted a DIY write up! Thanks for taking the time to do so. Is there any reason why they have the on/off switch?

Maybe so you can make it appear normal for whatever reason, maybe the dealer.

Not sure Aristo, I haven't tried prestige but I can tell you beat sonic has given me no problems. Going 6 months strong.
