I've been looking everywhere for a detailed how-to on getting the grille off of my 08 coupe and can't find one. If anyone could link me to an easy to follow DIY or post a quick walkthrough if you've done it yourself, I'd really appreciate it.

Just be careful with the plastic clips because they break easily. Also careful when reinstalling, the bottom screws have to line up with plastic pieces on the bottom guard, you will see them once you get the bumper off.

Alright thanks alot man, I'll tackle that soon haha. That'll work even though its for HID head installs? I thought there were more clips for the grille.

Oh wait, I totally misread your post. I thought you were asking how to remove the entire front bumper.

Anyway, some people have taken off just the grille without removing the bumper but its not easy. Once you get the bumper off, removing the grille is cake. I recommend doing it that way. Doesnt matter if that write up is for HIDs, removing the bumper is removing the bumper.

Alright i guess what im asking is are there any additional clips for the grille that that writeup doesn't include?

These arent the same kind of clips as the ones that hold the bumper on, they are attached to the grille and you have to squeeze them to remove them.

2 at the top, 4 at the bottom. Everything else you see are just guide pieces.

I don't remember removing my grille when installing HIDs on the 09, are you doing the install yourself?

He isnt installing HIDs (at least I dont think he is). Only brought that up because the write up linked above was written as a precursor for someone installing HIDs.

No I'm not installing HIDs, I'm taking the grille, nissan badge, and chrome bumperettes off the front end to get painted.

And again, thanks for the pics DJ!

No problem. What color are you having the parts painted? Why not do it yourself? Im redoing all of mine once it gets a little warmer out.

I'm going to see about getting them painted to match the blue of the car (can't do it myself because of the metallic flakes in the paint, has to be blended professionally to match) and the nissan badge black (I'd do that myself). Otherwise I'm going to paint them all black myself.

My emblems and mustache are color matched Dark Slate, and I did it myself. Buy paint here, prep and follow directions to the T, save a lot of money.
