hello recently hit a pole going 10 mph .. long story .. but im trying to pop this dent out myself tried a heat gun today didnt do anything .. any suggestions? btw how the F$%^ do you remove the grill? tried for 20 minutes earlier before i was sweating my butt off and went inside i was going to remove the bumper and try to use the heat gun again .. ideas and suggestion ? not trying to spend 350 bucks Im broke atm lol

The good news is, you didn't do more damage. 10mph would probably have done damage to the core support and more.

The bad news is, that's not going to "pop out" with a heat gun. You're going to need to get the bumper off, lay it on a flat surface, and work the plastic back into shape from the back side.

Right now, you're just blowing hot air on it, and the form and metal bracing behind the bumper are dissipating the heat from the heat gun. All you're gonna do is burn the paint.

Go get the QX4 manual for your year, and go to the FWD section. That's like a table of contents, and it'll tell you which section has the front end disassembly info.

If you have problems, we'll help - but you've gotta dig in and read first.

alright was able to take off the bumper and grill now the question i have are, am I better off buying a new bumper reinforcement bar or unbending it? any suggestions?

Hello, I have the bumper reinforcement bar you need. It's wrapped and ready to ship. I had a front end accident last year and bought it for my qx4, but I was able to save my old one, wasn't bent like I thought. pm me if you want it.

p.s. I am in Canada so shipping might be steep, but I will let you have it for nothing, just cover the shipping. I just want it out of my garage, it's taking up too much space.
