What makes you think it's a MAF + moisture issue?

Are you getting a CEL? What's the code? What vehicle are we talking about?

Is the entire vehicle stock:

Did you ever check for spark?

check the wires and coil packs?

Is the fiberboard shroud underneath the vehicle present?

Follow the troubleshooting steps in the FSM

Yes its present 100% stock got a p0102 code ... And it only happens when it rains.... Runs fine its just when it throws the code it runs diff because of the limp mode

I'm still not convinced it's a moisture problem. Common causes for that code are:

- Faulty mass air flow sensor
- Intake air leaks
- Dirty mass air flow sensor
- Dirty mass air filter
- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
- Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection

The bad idle leads me to believe you have some other MAF-related issue.

Is the intake intact and secure, from the airbox to the throttle body? No openings, holes, or tears?
Is the air filter new? Check it and make sure there's not something in the airbox (saw a car at the dealer with a SNAKE in the airbox, no crap).
Have you cleaned the MAF sensor? Get the MAF cleaner from your local parts store, follow the instructions.
Check the MAF plug - Unplug it with the engine idling, wait, then plug it in again. Does the idle change? Make sure there are no strained or damaged wires.

I know this is all tedious, but that's how we isolate the issue and get you back on the road. :)

I hust put a new filter in i checked everything didnt clean it yet... Didnt visually look dirty... At all... Until it goes into limp mode it runs perfect! Thats what Gets me. It only idles that way after it has gone into limp mode

Also, are the 03-04 MAF the same? I was looking and the "04" MAF are cheaper than 03?? Why is that?

You didn't mention the slip / VDC lights before.

That's more likely a cam position sensor. Replace both, they're not expensive. My '03 G required new ones at 50k miles or so.

You'll need this afterwards:

Because it's an intricate, fallible mixture of mechanical and electronic components. Nothing always goes strictly by the book.

Some additional info that may help: 2003-g35-w-service-engine-soon-slip-and ... 77728.html

BTW, you really need to go step-by-step. There are documented cases of water reaching the ECU, but they're rare. Worth checking, but I still think you have cam angle sensor issues.

What about the IPDM? I am going to check that later, because like I said, the MAF, looks to be fine and car died without it, so For some reason I think its throwing some random code, I dont know. All I know is 2 things 1: it started after I had tires changed and oil change. 2: seems to be when it is wet/raining.
