Hi Guys-I just purchased a 99 Q45, and I need to change out the ignition coil on cylinder #2, and I haven't had a chance to get a service manual, so if anyone can point me to a diagram etc. so I can figure out which is #2 that would be super

Hi and welcome.

I'm curious how you determined that the number two is bad. There has been a fair amount of discussion here regarding coils and troubleshooting them. It would be a bonus to us Q41 guys.

Congrats on the car.

Thanks guys-after posting this I found the download for the FSM, I'm currently hunting thru the 500 pages of Engine Control section trying to find the cylinder layout, it sure would be nice if you could search the text for these

The reason I went ahead and ordered a replacement coil is the car is doing the typical msfire at idle and the computer shows it on cylinder 2...after doing some reading on the forum here it looks like there are other possible causes...since I've got the new coil I'll go ahead and try it and see if that does the trick...but before I get to it I have a much more new part to install...new hood struts

so today I changed the ignition coil, it seems to be running much better now, still need to clear the CEL and see if it still comes up with any codes...I also polished the headlights and did a general cleanup of my new ride, its a nice upgrade from my 95 Maxima!

Now when I start it in the cool of the evening I'm getting some pretty loud sqealing that goes away after about 15 seconds...I'm guessing some belt slippage is going on, will have to figure that out
