This is for a s13 i am not sure of the colors on the s14 harness.

When i hardwired mine i was doing two fuel pumps. What i did was go to the DW web site and see what was included in there kit when to napa and bought it lol.

Depending on where your battery is you may only need one thing of wire
Image
15' of 12ga SLX spec red power cable
5' of 12ga SLX spec black ground cable
30 amp in-line fuse
40 amp automotive relay
4-lead relay socket with pigtails

then wire it in like this
Image
85- white/purple wire from chassis harness side
86- ground to chassis
87- white/purple from pump
30- from battery with fuse inline

then take the blue/red wire from the pump and ground that to the chassis.

this is what mine looked like when finished

mounted the relay up out of the way, put all the carpet and stuff back in and hides it nicely

simple thing to do,

and for two pumps you will need double everything then the white/purple from chassis harness you will need to Y this and have it go to pin 85 on both relays.

then run separate power supplies to each relay, and separate grounds

easy peasy

Yeah, it seemed to be something that people did, and never bothered to write up.

I did it on my first S13, but was in such a hurry when I did it that I didn't have time for pictures. Then, the car was out of my possession for nearly a year.

Once again, I do appreciate the write-up. It's nice to be able to go to the FAQ when you need to do something instead of making a post, and waiting for someone to respond.

yeah very true, i am going to probably make one of these for wiring brick head lights up, cause the one posted here is wrong. it is using the fog lights for the low beams, and the low beams for the high beams lol

if your going to hardwire a fuel pump in...id add a toggle switch somewhere for security...it's a cheep anti theft system that never needs upgrading...i sugest hiding the togle switch somewhere not readly reachable from the drivers seat.. :yesnod

way ahead of you budy, i just didnt post that i did that haha. and i wont post where, but i think its very good. you just need a switch in the signal wire to the fuel pump since not much voltage goes through this
