It was definitely fun to do.

I can't take credit for the idea... Gregg Rogers, President of Desert Z Association and my copilot during the Z Tour, came up with the concept...

He is one of the other 2 guys with me in the picture.

My Dad's story...

In 1970 I was in the market for my first new car. I narrowed it down to 3 vehicles:- Toyota Mark II $2800. ($2900 loaded w/ AC and power antenna - Toyota Celica (the first model, I believe) $3200 (?)- Datsun 240Z (brand new 2-seater sports) $3400. Mark II was a staid 4 DR sedan. Celica was a small pony car but lousy styling.I just loved the Z and could see myself in it. Well, I decided to go with my head (Mark II) and not my heart (Z).One of the worst decisions I ever made, but "C'est la vie".

Pat Dad on the shoulder and bring him to a NICO meet. We'll make sure he gets to drive a Z, somehow, some way.
