Ok every where I search I get different numbers. I have seen as low as 3,287lbs and as high as 3,533lbs for the stock weight of a 300ZX TT. I am looking at doing weight reduction and I need an accurate starting weight. What does a 95 300ZX TT with t-tops weigh? I would love to get the car around 3,000 lbs without me in it and I want to know how realistic that is.

the weight of your car will vary:
TT weighs more than an n/a
leather weighs more than cloth
power seats weight more than manual
2+2 weighs more than 2 seat
T bar weighs more than slicktop
convertible weighs mroe than T bar
most aftermarket wheels weigh more than stock (especially true for larger diameters)

3000 lbs is certainly achievable if you are willing to make the sacrifices to get it there, read honads thread for actual weights of actual parts, hsi car is a slicktop n/a so his is startign a few hundred lbs less than your car

if you are so concerned about actual weight why not weigh it? if you go to a scrap yard or truck weight station and ask when they aren't busy they'll likley let you drive on and weigh for free of charge then you know your cars actual weight

second option si go to your local circle track or roar racing prep shop, they should have conver scales and for a small fee can tell you your new weight, weight distribution, crossweights, corner weights etc

But then you have us skinny guys who want to have our cars lighter, but it would be unhealthy if we lost any significant amount of body weight :(

Right there with you man. every 15 pounds we drop : 1 horsepower, weight to power ratio speaking.
(for an NA, and i think that number was correct, off the top of my head)
tt = 13 pounds? i really dont remember.
anyways time to run the block!!!

Man, I never trust online weight listings anymore. Depending on trim model and accessories equipped, your weight could vary wildly from any published numbers. For example, ppl always talk about how light the S-Chassis is. Most published numbers put the S13 around 2630 lbs and the S14 at 2700 lbs... well, one guy here on NICO actually weighed his stock auto hatch and that b*tch was 2880 lbs! Another guy weighed his S14 auto SE and it came in at 3000 lbs! Needless to say, most of us were like WTF NOOOOO!!!!

I say forget the online listings. Just find a truck stop with a weigh station and put your car on it to find out for sure.

Yeah I know what you mean. Most of those numbers are probably dry weights from the manufacturer. 2600 pounds turns into 3000+ very quickly when you add in 25 gallons worth of fluids and an actual person lol.

Yeah, true. Plus I've heard the JDM S-Chassis are much lighter than USDM S-Chassis because we much more safety equipement in the cars... like thinker glass and more bracing in the doors and stuff... Those online listings line up pretty closely with what he JDM model should weigh, but the dry weigh idea is really plausible too...

3425 lbs for a 1990 TTZ with 180lb driver NA subframe, full interior, 50lb sub box (+amp & EQ) 1/8 tank of gas. Lightened flywheel, driveshaft and crank/wp pulleys, full spare tire, A/C etc etc. This is what my car weighed in at just two weeks ago.

That would equal a car weight of just 3195.
