The Fuel Pressure Regulator / Fuel pump issue occurred at about 90,000 mile on my wife‘s 07 hatchback. Wait until you hear what they quoted me to install a new fuel pump.

Given there is a TSB I thought warranty would still cover it. Some that work for Nissan may have more insight.

Our warranty was 36,000 mile. Why would you think it would be covered?

So what you are saying is, if there is a Service Bulletin on a part, the dealer will replace it for free, regardless of the mileage? I wish that were true.

Recalls are covered under warranty regardless of mileage, a service bulletin can be covered if the vehicle is still under warranty, but if it isn't under warranty than Nissan isn't under any obligation to cover it. How much did they quote you anyways?

I got mine replaced in fall of 2009. I only have 36K on the car, so still lots of warranty left.

How much did they quote you for it? I can only imagine how high it must be.

In one of the lowest cost of living states in the country, the quote to replace a 2007 Versa fuel pump was .... $831.00 :wtf2:

That is rediculous. You should be able to do it yourself pretty easily.

I really can't afford to let dealers do much of anything these days. My door lock actuator went out on my G, parts + labor quote is around $375. The part list at almost $200 (got a friend to hook me up) and it took me 3 hours to insall it (need tiny hands), but saved me a ton of money.

Long story short, I ended up letting them do the job for $757.00. If I had known you can access the pump from under the back seat, I would have done it myself, as I do with all my cars. I could have bought the parts on line for $293.89 shipped. Oh well, lesson learned.
