Put in 3 and start it and let it run for 30 seconds. Then check th oil level with the stick and add oil until it sits perfectly at the "H".

it started when it got cold the swapped to the thinner and it stopped..... both are 30 wieght oils when warm... the first number is simply the weight of the oil when its cold.... so on a cold startup i am easily alble to get oil to the top of my motor quickly..... a thicker oil when its cold out takes longer to get to the top of the motor....

Read the rest of the thread, and then read a bit about viscosity and temperature. Or if you ask nicely, I'm sure someone will explain it to you.

no, not even a hint. i have a pretty low mileage car (60k) though, so i am sure that has something to do with it as well as using a high quality oil.

It IS better for your car, since the oil is less thick on start, BUT you'll have to specially order it. Talk to Anthony (PEZi-somethingoranother). He's the Amzoil dealer for NICO. He'll hook you up with a discount.

NINJA EDIT: Here's his profile: zer...21965

Just send him an email asking what kinds of deals he can get you on oil/filters

You don't have to special order it, I'm pretty sure that's what they call "fuel saver" oil or whatever. I don't think it would be necessary for any Z in the continental U.S.
