hey i can finally help someone here after all the help i get... I just did this to my z today. You have to take your center console out which isnt hard. First start by opening the compartment and taking the little piece of felt off. Then take those screws off lift it up a little. Pull off the fliping piece that the lighter is on. Theres a screw under there. Take off all the screws tll u fet both pieces of the console off. take the shifter knob off and unbutton the boot on the e-brake slide everything off and theres a but on a bolt rite under the handle when u lift it. tighten that as much as u need to. put it all back together and ure good =].

Take the rear wheels off. There's a opening in the rear rotor. Insert tool, spin adjustment wheel until e-brake drum presses against inner hub. Back it off a notch and you're done.

Both are correct sometimes tightening the screw on the center console doesn't always work and then you have to do it the other way which will do what you want. Really though the ebrake isn't needed with an auto thats what you have park for. You don't happen to have a white n/a do you? I saw a 2+2 white n/a the other day.
