Homelink Buttons Backlit?

Just received my 2011 QX a couple of weeks ago, so I am new to the forum. My question is about the Homelink buttons on the rearview mirror. Mine are not backlit, and I am not sure if this a defect, or by design. I have a similar mirror in my Toyota Tundra, and the buttons are backlit when my headlights are on. Makes them tons easier to find at night. Any QX owners out there with backlit homelink buttons?

are you sure your dimmer switch isnt down all the way? Other than that cant help you, dont have a qx but check that.
