Just curious to see if any of you checked the tire pressures on your Rogue lately. I just drove mine off the lot and rather foolishly, never bothered to check the tire pressure.

I found all the tires on mine inflated to the maximum pressure printed on the tire sidewall: 44psi. This is incorrect. There is a label on the driver's side door jamb indicating proper air pressure... in this case 33psi. I readjusted the pressure to 33psi and suprise noticed an immediate improvement in ride quality.

Note to self: check the tire pressure once a month!

Excellent point!

The manufacturer always over-inflates the tires at the factory for shipping the vehicles out to the dealerships. Adjusting the tire pressure down to the proper level is one of the tasks the dealer is supposed to perform when prepping the car for sale. But, it is very frequently missed by the dealer.

Ride quality is very easily affected by air pressure. Over-inflation makes for a bumpy ride!
