Hello, I have a new 2012 G37xs with the 13 speaker Bose system. It sounds terrible. Does anyone know if there is a code to open hidden settings on the radio, like access to the Bose Equalizer or Delay settings? I have owned Audis and they all had hidden settings that were accessible by pushing certain buttons in a particular sequence, and once inside these hidden settings, there was equalizer adjustments and other options to control and adjust the sound system. It would only make sense that this Infiniti Bose radio has something similar. If you have knowledge of this, please let me know. Thanks.

^^ that's the only hidden menu system that I know of. There is no additional adjustments to the Bose system I'm afraid.

Thank you. That menu can be useful. I do still have a feeling that there is a hidden menu for the radio to adjust eq settings and delays. I had friends at Audi who supplied me with the there hidden menus and codes for such, but I don't have any such contacts at Infiniti.

The stereo needs more bass. I added an aftermarket 12in RF sub and now I love my stereo!

I agree somewhat on the bass. The wifes sedan could use better bass but I'm relatively happy with the coupe. They do sound different.

I will contact Infiniti USA and try to get some more info. I work for M&K Speakers, and while we don't currently have any car audio speakers, I am about ready to upgrade all of the speakers and amps in the car. I cannot stand the sound. The highs are sizzly and unnatural sounding, the mids are hollow and colored, and the bass is muddy and has no low bass extension or dynamic slam. First I want to access the factory eq settings and see what I can do to tune the system to make is listenable for me. If that doesn't work, then I replace all speakers with M&K drivers (made by Peerless) and amps.

I did something similar with my Audi A6, and it sounded outstanding running off the factory headunit. In that car I had two 12" subs in an isobaric box with the sub firing through the ski-hole into the cabin of the car. I may do the same with the G37 sedan I have now.

Ripping and replacing won't stop the head unit from changing equalization settings while you turn up the volume. You will need something like the JL CleanSweep to rebuild the bandwidth. I had similar issues in my Maxima with the Bose system. I had some success with a PPI PAR-225 para-EQ and a phantom bass processor but eventually I yanked it out and threw in a Pioneer HU. That was before the CleanSweep was a viable product.
