I currently have old Michelin x radials on my Q from way back when, before it had a 6 year slumber. the side walls are cracked.

I'v been looking for tires desperately

Sams Club = don't even have them on special order ANYMORE ( my x radials are from sams)
Sears = got dirt cheap poor quality tires which is a big no no for me
tire plus = same as sears
bridstone = don't carry them (I really wanted the Potenzas)
Dunlop = dosen't carry them
Michelin = don't have good quality rubber anymore and they don't carry them.
Pirelli = Sears = got dirt cheap poor quality tires which is a big no no for me
THE DEALERSHIP = They said their system only goes back to 1995 to look up tires, and they had mediocer quality tires for the 95 from a brand I'v never herd of which is still a big no no for me.

where can I get good/best quality brand named tires that are trust worthy enough to hold up exceptionally on a Q

Really like my Kumho Ecsta 4X tires - Very quiet, comfortable riding, with good road feel.

At around $110 apiece, they're hard to beat for the price.

I had mine installed at Discount Tire.

Impossible. Tire technology has advanced TONS since those old Michelins were made. Hell, even some of the new Korean stuff is better than those.

Don't count on "never heard of 'em" as a valid determinant. In fact, when I put new tires on my C5 'vette, I bought Hankook Ventus V12s - some of the best tires I've ever owned, and their reviews bear that out.

Check TireRack.com and don't be afraid to mess with the sizing a little bit. Go for a higher load rating than original and you'll be fine.
