whats up my name is james and i have a s13 with a rb20 swap

so here is my story... i bought the car in late 2008. it had a ka24de with ( wait for it...) an automatic transmission!!!! yaaay! she was my DD for about 2 years. then around the end of November 2010 due to a mysterious oil leak that would only show up when nobody was looking for it, the ka decided it was too low on oil and said f*ck you then snapped a rod and blew a hole big enough to reach in into the side of the block :wtf2: ... fast forward to mid January, i had come up with enough cash for the swap so i ordered the engine and transmission from JDM Engine depot plus all the other goodies that are necessary for the swap. they shipped it and about two weeks later it arrived :woot: we can skip all the details but i got the rb in my baby and hooked everything up and wouldn't ya know it, the battery was dead  so i charged that bad boy and cranked the rb and she started right up!!!!!! this is where Murphy and pesky little law stood up and kinda smacked me in the face :slap: she had a knock... so after some diggin around i found a crank journal thats no longer completely round, a rod thats beat up pretty good and a pile of metal shavings that once called itself a rod bearing.

At this point i think its safe to say im currently a member of NRRBA or Non-Running RB Association

Now i know what your thinking, call up JDM Engine depot and tell them to fix this sh*t!!! ahhhh well, as i did the install myself and am not a certified mechanic, i violated there warranty terms and conditions.... ya i read all that sh*t

i looked into the "machine the crank and get bigger bearings" route but thats a no go for me...and don't question it either!

the only logical option i see is to get a short block and go that route.

SO, IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW HAS A SHORT BLOCK THAT IS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION PLEASE HELP ME GET MY CAR BACK UP AND RUNNING!!

P.S. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THE PM STUFF BECAUSE IM NEW TO FORUMS IN GENERAL, SO DON'T TRY AND CONTACT ME THAT WAY IF YOU CAN HELP ME... sorry... email is probably best...
