Alright. So my QX4 is starting to show its age. This year the car, has gone through a ton of major repairs, is horrible on gas and frankly it's time for a newer model vehicle. The car's interior is in pretty good condition but the exterior is satisfactory. For 140,000 miles and 10 years old, the exterior has paint chips, scratches, faded plastics, dings etc. Not only that but one of the running boards is falling off. Also the car was in a major accident in 2003, and the rear of the vehicle isn't completely symmetrical. According to KBB the car is worth ~$5,000 but I'm guessing with the accident it's more like $3,000. I am looking into SUV's and maybe pickup trucks that get decent gas millage (~17+ mpg city). My price range is under $15K with less then 70K miles. Any suggestions?

If you sell your computer, you can bump your price range up 500 dollars AND you wont have to get made fun of every day here.

Nala, pick up a pathfinder. Jeez, i know this is the internet and all, but potty mouth has always been very uncouth. not to mention how much it shows that your vocabulary is limited.

Without exception, EVERY other time you have come on this forum and asked for advice, you have systematically IGNORED every single piece of constructive feedback you've received. With that sort of track record, how could you be deluded enough to think we'd even BOTHER anymore?

Go away. No one will miss your inane attention-whoring.

Nala's threads never end well..

Pathfinder I guess, Marano, or F150 (not sure on mpg) may be a place to start.

Please... please dont buy a gross Avalanche. That is a for sure way to never get laid. Tahoes are nice I guess but Im not really a truck guy

Maybe a Trailblazer or the SS version if you want something kind of big. An aquantence has an SS and its nasty. 400 hp but I think like 13 mpg lol and about tops out your price range.

Why don't you at least get a job so people on this forum (and in general) would have at least a little more respect for you? You've been through 2 cars now, and your parents are just going to hand over 15K for another one?

I thought you wanted something that gets +17 mpg in the city.
The Armada, Tahoe, and Avalanche supposedly get less than that.

Get a Rogue or a Murano if you want something Nissan. They get good gas mileage.

Why in the heck would you need truck chassis vehicle when you're in COLLEGE?

SS trailblazer's are super ballin'! Navigator, Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe. Pretty common and cheap to fix, but again gas suckers.

New cars, suv's, and trucks are AWD. Such as the EX35 or the FX45. My buddy bought a 06 FX45 that was fully loaded (71k msrp) for 9000 from a dealer but I am sure the car was atleast 15k up north. It had a few repairs to get done but that is nothing.

Now a truck.. That is different. There are tons of options such as turbo diesel ford extended cabs. My opinion something common and easy to fix would be a 05 and up chevy silverado 4x4 extended cab. But everyone has their own tastes.

You said you wanted better fuel mileage than the QX4, none of the contenders on this wish list will foot the bill, you were born yesterday weren't you? The stupid truck checked its manifest and noticed you were missing.

Nala, you already announced to us recently that your father is about to give you his Tahoe, so spare us the nonsense of helping you pick one out to buy. And if you're that concerned about gas mileage, despite your parents paying for all your gas, why are you even looking at full sized trucks?

So why are you still asking us for advice?

Flexfuel is not a selling point if your goal is a fuel efficient car.
Makes me wonder if you even know what Flexfuel is...

I swear if someone slapped all kinds of gimmicky badges on a car, you'd think it's the best car ever.

You don't need anything as large as an Armada, unless you have 7 kids. And lets be honest, you're not getting laid (without the help of chloroform, at least).

But back to the point, You need a new car because your "old" QX4 is showing its age? f*** you, you rich little prat. I've spent less than $15k on TWO different vehicles, and that includes all repairs and maintenance.

Buy an older Toyota truck. And by older, I mean pre-95. Buy something you can work on yourself. And adding gay tail-light covers and tinting your tails does not count as work. Get something you can learn to wrench on. When something breaks, pick up a f*** socket set and fix it your damn self.

We wouldn't rag on you so hard if you actually knew something about cars. Buy an older truck, fix it up, learn to appreciate something that you yourself worked on. Having mommy and daddy sign a f*** check doesn't teach you to appreciate a vehicle. Buying one yourself and then fixing it from the ground up does.

^^Is that a belt rather than a chain? I'm surprised it took this long for a bike to show up in this thread, but I'm not disappointed in that choice- sweet bike.
