HELP Final Drive Housing Mount or Bushing

Recently i have been hearing a knocking sound coming from the bottom of my vehicle in the front. I brought it to my mechanic and he said that its the differential bushing thats bad. and he also showed it to me. so i decided to try to source it but could not as i was not getting such a part. i then downloaded the service manual for the vehicle and printed page PD-18 which showed an exploded view of the Front Final Drive. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yy283prfa8mrq ... 0drive.JPG

In the photo above i have placed a square around the area the mechanic indicated the mount or bushing is.

can someone tell me if it is really a mount or bushing or is it something else. i would appreciate even more if i can get the part number so that i can do a search for the part online.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

yes it was helpful.. however my mechanic is not so helpful right now. i sent him the photo but has not responded. he believes its a mount or a bushing however from what i am seeing it looks like a seal. i am gonna try to get some actual photos and then post it for you to see then you will can give me your opinion.

i also want to ask what do you make of this.. when i drive my pathy the rear dangles from side to side for about 1 or 2 secs when the gear changes what can cause that and how can this be repaired meaning which parts need changing?

sorry for all the questions but not many people have this vehicle in my country so mechanics can't answer the questions because of first hand experience.

About your second issue, it sounds like rear trailing arm bushings. See the diagram in this thread, they are the highlighted parts. The bushings could have disintegrated or worn over time. The best way to see if they are in need of replacement is to grab them firmly and try to wiggle them to find excess play, and of course a visual inspection.
