Hello im new here and a little out of place. I own a 98 honda civic with a ls/vtec in it. I have a new project i want to begin whenever i am through with my honda which will hopefully be by the end of the month. I was hoping to find help and other information about Datsun pickups.

Heres the project i want to do im sure its been done but any information you can give me or help is very welcome and appriciated. Im wanting to find a 79 datsun pickup 2wd shortbed single cab STD transmission. Im then wanting to convert it to RHD (i dunno if that is even possible with these trucks) I also would like to either put a sr20det or a rb25dett or rb26dett. I do not know if a rb will fit in the engine bay of one of these trucks.

Im wanting to put a full cage in the truck and drift it. I picked this platform because it will be a difficult one and very diffrent i could have gone with the usual 240sx or something of that nature but decided to try something diffrent.

Sounds like you have BIG plans. The 620 is a pretty easily modded rig so someone may have helpfull tips.

Post up some pics of your truck. Oh, and look around using the search option and see if you can find some answers that way in the mean time.

i dont have a truck yet i just set out to find one and do this project a couple weeks ago. thanks tho ill look around.

yeah but these trucks are alot harder to find then i thought they would be. Hopefully by march ill have found one.

I think they are harder to find the further east you go from the west coast. We have tons of them here but new englanders rarely seen one.
