14hp peak and 20+ tq in the lower revs and sustained 10 - 15tq throuout the rev range.

Didn't quite gain as much as I anticipated probably due to the crappy merge ports I had to make to convert the oval Titan port to an M45 Round port.

Needless to say I'm positive there's another 10 to 15hp and at least that in torque with a proper flange and merge collector and long tubes. That would run about $1300-$1800 so if anyone wants to step up, let me know and I can have the best headers known to man built.

I'm satisfied with the gain I got. For $125 headers, $160 in cats, and my time weldin all that crap up $20bucks per hp aint bad.

I'm not sure what to give you guys as a final number for power. We decided to tune in 3rd gear this time - 304.Xrwhp and 340somethin TQ but I don't think thats accurate but the last time I dynoed in third gear I made 290.Xhp and cant remember tq so the gain is there just not sure of the "actual" number everyone so covets. The track will tell my friend.

Probably pretty safe to say I'm knocking on 300rwhp any way you cut it +/- 5 to 7 hp

Have a good day

Nice, great gains all around. 300 rwhp is a great deal, especially when you add that 340 tq to it

Thanks guys! It was a lot of work to get where I am and driving the car makes it totally worth it. Fuel economy still not impacted throughout my drive home today and actually seems to do better in the city driving.

I was on the phone the most of the way home and I missed my turnoff to go to the house we are house sitting at, I said the heck with it and took surface streets for a while. Not even paying attention to the fuel economy gauge I still averaged 19.0mpgs for the city duration of my trip, then hwy brought it back up to 21.1 whoooyaaa!

This is 4th gear headers as compared to a previous 4th gear run the last time I was in. He actually added a lower HP run but it's a pretty good representation of what my real world gains look like and how they would feel on the road. Down low there are increases of 30ft/lbs easy. Sometimes I wish this car was a manual transmission just so I could see below that 2500rpm mark, or get a manually actuated torque converter.

This is the last 3rd gear run the last time I was in the shop as compared to today.

Forgestar F05 - I was looking at the equiivelent 19x8.5 and 19x10 sizes. I guess if they clear the Akebono BBK they'd be couple lbs lighter but nothing too noticable

Thanks brother, moneywise is definitely doable, rewarding and worth the $$$... I will post if I decide to embark on this task, highly doubt it tho. The true toy of the house is the Z.

drive slower? lol ;)

ken hasn't posted for a while - he doesn't have his M45 anymore.

he did lots of mod - cold air intake, exhaust, headers and most important - fine tuning from shop that knows how to use Uprev software. "hint you should do the same" not in that order but close to it :)

Ken had to sell his M a long while back and he no longer visits these forums. I believe his modlist was:

custom made intake
custom made exhaust
Titan headers
high flow cats
G37s rear differential
transgo shift kit
G37 big brake kit
UpRev Tune

and probably one or two other things.

You guys still kickin my old posts around! LOL

I still have my M, it still has balls but got rid of the BBK and G37 LSD Diff. I drive it everyday durring the week and Drive my 2008 F250 PSD Twin Turbo 6.4L Diesel around on the weekends, that is probably just as fast as the M but sits on 40's on 24's with 8" lift.

My focus has changed, I'm into going to the dunes these days - picked up a Raptor 700R and put Intake, Exhaust, Power Comander, Stage 2 Cam - the thing hauls the mail. Next purchase is the toyhauler then time for a serious toy - Sandrail.

Lets just say the divorce was good for me - lol

Good to see you guys again, havent been on in ages. I might need to hunt down some fixes for the M because the Drivers seat is shifting again when I hit the brakes - POS but I still love it. might sell it this year and get one of those Nissan leafs -Bwahahhahahhaha just kiddin

Later!

Ken

Hey Ken, if you sell the car and you're going to de-mod it, I'd like to buy the titan headers...

I wont spend a lot of time on the mpg topic but I can gice you some advise:
1. go to ecomodder.com Read the sticky on 'the 100 things you can do to get better MPG'. 90% of the mods done on this site are tested a-b-a. So they can factually show it works to improve mpg.
2. Cold Air Induction will never improve mileage. Basic physics. Warm air inproves mileage. Go to the site. type in cold air induction.
3. The trany ecu can learn how you drive and sets up the shift patterns accordingly. You would need to unhook your battery for awile to erase and start clean.
4. next time you buy tires look at a slight increase in diameter.
The 02Q45 Sport came with 18x7.5 rims and 245/45/18 rubber.
I run 255/45/18. I also run nitrogen instaed of air. keeps the tire at a constant psi reguardless of the temp.
Add I run 39 psi. When I travel, I go by the Tire sTORE and get bumped up to 44psi
5. You gatta do what you are comfortable with. I decided when I got the 02Q45Sport in 2005 at 40k, that I wanted to run to 250,000. I drive easy and do maintanace religously. I also do the eco mod that I am comfortable with.
