well i know one of the models has a rb20det in it single turbo. that motor is in the r32s i believe. it has i think 215 hp.. then you have the r33 model it has the rb25det in it.. i can't remember the horsepower but it is a better motor and has more power.. i use to know a lot more when i was considering buying i 240 with a rb... but just try searching on the search bar on this web site... but they cost a lot less as you prob have seen.. and still can make good power. i would try to get one with the rb25.. if you have the money tho get a GTR!!!

You talking R32 or R33? There where a couple of super rare factory RB25 R32 GTS-t's getting around.

The R33 GTS-t Type M has a slightly different front bar, foggies, LSD, better brakes and thats about it. RWD, RB25DET 185kW @ 6400, 295Nm @ 4800.

Not worth the hype IMO. Mucked about with one last weekend, Apexi exhaust, boost controler, Apexi pod and a set of Tein coilovers. Improved the car alot, but still a bucket of poo compared to a lightly modded Z32.

Over here they are so common, a good one can be had for $10k or so. Rubbish little turbo with a ceramic turbine that craps itself when pushed much above 12psi. Only thing I like about them is the spool noise with a pod on, that's addictive! Don't get that on a Z!

Find a GTR, 5 times better than a GTS-t. AWD and that sweet 6 throttle intake mani. Stupid timing belt setup and easy to overtighten. Akward car to work on sometimes too.

No RB25DET R32. There is a GTS25 which is an RB25DE and there is a four door Autech GT-R with and RB26DE.

Mike, the R33 Autech Rs had a DET in them. Might have been a typo, or was it...

No what would I know...

47 RB25DET R32's where confirmed made (but some say as many as 2000) at the end of production. Got a mate who had one and know another guy in NZ with one. I'm not saying the Type-M R32's had the RB25, if that's how it came across.

Yes there was a Autech R32 4 door with the RB26DE, auto though and only 220PS. Autech have a habbit of pulling turbo's off things, the S15 they made was also a NA, and the 'vert S15.

Then there's the Autech 260RS Stagea, GTR running gear with the RB26DETT, bit of competition for the old RS6 Audi's I guess...

Cite your source. I have a stack of third party reference books. The R32 service manuals for both GT-R and lower models and 15 years on the ground here; never seen or heard of such a thing. I absence of official documentation to the effect If you saw one it was a post production third party swap. If it was properly done the title would be changed to reflect the RB25. The firewall tag would still have the original motor's data though, swap or not so if it was originally an RB25DET it would say that on the firewall tag. A quote from "a guy" or "some" doesn't pass muster; we need a pic of the data plate or official documentation to back up your claim.
