I was bored one day and decided to mount a worn tire on a dented rim i had laying around and paint the rim gold to see what it would look like and see if it would possibly look good enough to do to my 4 good wheels. Im still not sure if i want to paint my rims on the account of me only having one set and im not sure if the gold would look better than original. what do you think?

Im also pretty new to Nico so here are some pics of my 93Z

try mounting it on the car and see if you like how it looks. nice to see a car that has the wheels mounted the right way by the way.

Or he can just repaint them lol or take that airline stripper if he wants to go back to a stock look. But I agree I am not huge on the stock wheels.

I wish i could get aftermarket rims but im a college student who dosn't really have much money to throw around. Im gonna have to wait and see how much money i can make this summer workin full time and see how much i can afford to put into my car. but yeah im gonna mount the gold rim on just to compare it to the aluminum then make my decision from there.

That doesn't look half bad. I'm just not a huge fan of stock wheels But really, its not a bad option considering the circumstances.

if you do it, do more of a matte bronze color. i think that would look better than gold.

i'm not too much of a fan, i don't think... looks better with original paint. i haven't liked too many painted stock rims. my favorite non-OEM silver is chrome and this, which i recently saw posted on my local forum:

the same guy who posted those just did the same to his own stockers:

looks great, IMO. i know the "time attack" thing is sort of a fad, but it looks good a lot of the time. but that's just me.

k, back to gold. sorry.

That'd be me.

As for the bumper, it is a bit of a mystery. It is made by some company called "TBO". It is embedded in the back of the bumper, inside the fiber glass. I have never been able to track it down on the net tho. I did once see a pic of the same bumper someplace on NICO a long time ago, but I haven't been able to find it since.
