What are the three methods?

I bought my car in Cali and immediately after purchase drove it cross country to baltimore. Obviously refueled several times but when I got to WV I couldn't get the fuel door open - until I read the manual and discovered that it would not open if the doors were locked. Good Luck.

ahh I had the same problem.

You have gotten the unlock/lock out of sequence with the fuel door open/close.

Open the fuel door then unlock the car. close the fuel door and lock the car. Then you should be back in sequence!

Hope thats it

try that ^^^^

The fuel door does not have a button or anything to "spring it open" walk up to it and just push it in (make sure your doors are unlocked)

Sorry to sound so stupid...Thank you so much for the info. BTW, the dealer is trying to locate an owner's manual for me. The Infiniti site has it available to download for years 2007 and 2008 only. If my dealer cannot get one for me (it's actually a Honda dealership), do you know where I might be able to get one?

Check Ebay and car-part.com

You should be able to buy an owners manual from either place.

r u sure that the doors are unlocked first. The gas cover will not pop open unless the doors are unlocked. This happened to me too when I firs bought my car. I bought min in Cali and drove it cross country - obviously filling up several times along the way. It wasn't until I got to West Virginia did I run into problems ( this was the only time I locked the car before I opened the fuel tank)

What year/model G?

I've seen this issue before...I think it was a faulty spring/latch assembly. If its under warranty, let the dealer fix it.

I believe there is a manual release in the trunk. Double check your owners manual.

My 2015 Rogue fuel door won't open. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for free under warranty, this is considered a warranty repair, right? What went wrong with it? Could I have fixed it myself by spraying wd40 or pb blaster? Thanks. It wouldn't open, and I was almost out of gas, then I fuled up after they fixed it and went to work this morning.
