Hey everybody,

When you all do the suitcase removal mod do you tend to remove the entire resonator and piping by unbolting it or do you just cut the pipes Right behind the suitcase and get pipes welded onto exsisting pipe? Also of any of you all have any pics of your suitcase removal up in a lift or anything can you post? Thanks again

No pics but a muffler shop cut the pipes in front of the suitcase and welded on a mounting bracket. It cost $65 so it was a fairly cheap thrill.

I'd cut them just in front of the muffler if you plan to just install tail pipes. I had other plans due to the turbo install so I cut mine just behind the resonators. I do NOT recommend removing the resonators. I drove mine for a bit after removing my resonators and it sounded horrible. Way to loud. With my turbo now as my muffler it sounds very good in my opinion but without it, it's bad.

Hmmm now you have me thinking about not doing it qsi guy. I want a nice aggressive tone but I don't want anything insanely loud. I did the same to my lt1 caprice and it sounded insanely loud when I cut the resonators off but after I got tail pipes installed it wasn't bad exactly what I wanted. Do you think yours was very loud because you didn't have anything after the muffler until your turbo setup?
