So instead of dropping the G37, it looks like they're keeping in their lineup (at least for 2015).

That's nice news to hear.

On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone have an opinion on their experience with the "steer-by-wire"? It sounds fine from a daily casual driving standpoint, but I imagine that feeling of being engaged in the drive or "being one with the car" is quite lacking.

I drove a loaded Q50s when looking for a new car for my wife and I really didn't like it. The car was overly sensitive to road conditions and felt floaty. Granted there are different settings you can go through that I didn't test. We ended up getting a Q50s that didn't have the package.
