I'll attest that the cuts, welds, and powder coat on John's shields are very, very clean. Highly professional stuff. Also to his trustworthiness and follow-up. No worries dealing with this guy.

PM John (Tollboothwilley) and he'll respond pretty quickly. There's a range depending on model and options, but they're less than the plastic OEM replacement part.

i got one also and i love it. i just hardly ever get to look at it!

John, since you probably know, what size are the bolts that hold it on? I need to order some of the fastener-clips that they screw into to. some were missing..(?)

probably from my mechanics changing the oil...

The bolts are M6. I use M6x20mm or or 25mm in length

the clips that they screw into are called Extruded U-nuts, size is obviously M6 as well

OTOH, a Linux box at home and putty at work can yield a nice tunneled proxy. Not that I'd do that, of course. :naughty:

I should get this done tomorrow. Was going to do it yesterday until I realized none of my jacks will fit under the car anymore. Going to make some temp ramps to get the car high enough to jack it up tomorrow :)

I used to have to drive onto a wood block but I got a new low-profile jack that helps me out now :)

I drove up on 1.5" of wood and it still was not tall enough and I don't have a big jack. :)

EDIT: Just finished the install (was bored). I'll post up my review and install steps once I'm done.

I used to have a 2x6 (1.5" tall) then a 4x4 (3.5" tall) block I would drive up on so I could get high enough for the floor jack.

If you get a change, look at some of the low profile floor jacks they make now. You can find some pretty cheap. Godo to have more than one around anyways :D

John, fit like a glove! Great product!!! It was a pain in the butt getting the factory cover off as prior mechanics had really screwed up and broke a couple of the screw clips and had lost the plastic clips which hold the factory one up. Afterward, installation of the TBW cover itself was a snap. I have seen products similar to this where they never fit right and require adjustments or flat out man handling. Not this one. Everything lined right up and fit with no problems.

Here's my "official" installation and review article: http://www.infinitig37.com/tbw-engine-cover.html

I give it two thumbs up :dblthumb:

The issue with the sedan is at the fender which is not part of the engine cover :(

It's actually the partial piece to the right and left of the bumpers and not the whole liner. The liner is attached to this "ripped section" via 3 bolts. The bumper attaches to it near the front tire and it's that section that is ripped out.

It has not been a major issue but it's probably time for me to find a fix.
