Info on my build,

I plan on buying a used g35 for around $7k and getting a vq35 long block ( http://www.importpartspro.com/st1vqloblni3.html ) and a stage 2 GTM supercharger ( http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product.ph ... 321&page=3 ) this month. In total I'm only looking to pay around $20-25k for the finished product. ( Wanting to make around 500-600hp.)

Questions I have,

Will the above setup pass emission testing? If not, what's another alternative build that would be street legal? And is it the SC or the engine that would make it fail the test?

Thanks in advance,
Harley

It should pass. The only thing that might make it not pass is that the engine has to labor more to spin the supercharger. But as long as your cats are up to snuff, and your tune is good, you should be fine.
If you tune the thing for E85 and have it available in your area, you could run it on that for the test and definitely pass.

Does anyone know if I would be able to pass emissions in texas with a built engine similar to this? http://www.importpartspro.com/st1vqloblni3.html
If not, would a stroked engine be better?

I'm wanting to have a better engine with a supercharger that's capable of 450-500rwhp after I'm done with emission testing each time. That'd mean putting cat back on, bringing sc power down to around 300-350rwhp and other things before each time the car gets tested. I've researched this for a few hours and will be calling gtm if they could help me on this situation. If anyone has any advice on what setup I should do it'd be greatly appreciated.

Hey Harley, there's no need to create new threads for the same topic. I deleted the other thread and merged this one with your original.
