Hello All - I tried to use my CD player today and the error CD ERR FO displays. I cannot even eject any one of the 6 CDs. Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong? Thanks.

This usually indicates that either the radio is shot and needs to be replaced or you have a circuit board problem. If you have not been experiencing problems with the AC system then it's probably just the radio.

If the car is still under full warranty, take it into the dealer.

Sorry to hear that. I have an 03 G 35 and the same thing happened to it 4 weeks ago. Just search in the forum for "CD error" and u get 3-4 threads.

Hope it helps-V

Check out this thread....I'm hoping there is a recall for the 03-04 head deck.

Doubt they will. The Maxima with the 6CD has had lots of problems with the Bose units and they simply replace them under warranty. If warranty has expired then ebay is the next step.

The worst part is that there is no assurance that the CD error will not pop up again. I have read through many threads and a lot of people complained about the CD player getting stuck multiple times. I decided to go with FM transmitter and an MP3 player for now and just fix it one time-i.e before i decide to trade in my car a few yrs down the lane...just to increase the trade in value i might shell out the xtra $$.

As much as i love my G 35 i hate the Bose system. The "never heard of" system in my mazda 626 sounds much better

The radio is shot. Have the dealer replace and they will send the unit to Clarion and remove your CD's. Takes about two weeks to get your CD's back.

This happened to me last year. No problems since.
