I'm working on a friends 96 Altima that was in an accident and the air bags deployed. The air bags have been replaced and now the car won't start. Although the air bag's controller hasn't been reprogrammed, the car should start ? Also, is there a fuel shut-off inertia switch that needs to be reset or replaced?

I would check the fuel check valve(with rollover valve)

Check valve operation 1. Blow air through connector on fuel tank side. A considerable resistance should be felt and a portion of air flow should be directed toward the canister side. 2. Blow air through the connector on the canister side. Air flow should be smoothly directed toward fuel tank side. 3. If fuel check valve is suspected of not properly functioning in steps 1 and 2 above, replace it.

Rollover valve operationEnsure that continuity of air passage does not exist when the installed rollover valve is tilted to 90 or 180 degrees.
