I would like to upgrade my fuel injectors but don't know at what the LB/hr fuel consumption rating is for the 2.5S (QR25DE)

Any help would be awesome

LinkNuc,

Why would he want to do that? The reason has to be because of the high performance mods he has made to his chariot. Take a look: CamsStrokedbullydog power programmerapexi control computerStillen Cat-back ExhaustPioneer DEH-P5100UB Head-unit (2009 Model aka-brand new!!!!)

Good Gawd! He has not one but TWO electronic devices that either work in unison, or fight and cancel out each other. What if together they act as a Klingon mega force field disruptor? That would in turn free up loads of torque and horsepower.

You must not have received the memo from Pioneer. IF you have a 2009 Model DEH-P5100UB aka-brand new !!!! Head unit, you MUST upgrade your fuel injectors. That’s common knowledge among the gear head community. Where have you been?

Cams? My car has ‘cams’, I’m sure that your car has them too.

Stroked? I honestly don’t know what he means by this. Is this the ‘Strokin’ he has?

stroked? well this guy has to get more specific about his mods but ok. if hes stroked imma assume he has a stroker kit which basically makes the engine bigger by having bigger pistons. and cams well idk how he did that but maybe he has upgraded cams idk. well lets say he has these mods on his car, then he would most likely need upgraded injectors. but until then we need more info about ur mods!

Stoker Kit included:

-K1/ Carrillo Billet 4340 Crank-Eagle H Beam Connecting Rods w/ ARP 200 Upgrade bolts-JE Forged Pistons-JE Plasma Moly Ductile Iron Rings-Upgraded Performance Wrist Pins

Everything came fully balanced and designed for the QR25DE. Stock bore and stroke is 89mm and 100mm now i have a 90mm bore and 102mm stroke, i know that isn't much but i have noticed power gains but would more then likely have to sleeve the engine to run any boost.

The cams are BC Cam:QR25DE 272/264 (10.92mm) which weren't hard to install and i haven't noticed much at all as far as any power gains really, the company said 6-8 horsepower which isn't alot but i do have a better over-all power spread.

I am taking it to AllAspects in Chesapeake for a full on tuning dyno run in the next few weeks.

How much time and money have you spent taking your 4 cylinder engine from a stock 2488cc to a modified 2595cc? At least you can say you have an Altima 2.6!

Will you be able to raise the rpm ceiling?

I see you live in Maryland. What about MD emission testing? Do you think your car will pass that test?

Good luck with you mods.

his set-up is balanced so I'd say he should be able to raise his red line (a must for making real power from a na compared to turbo), forged pistons and upgraded rods (forged as well?) are also lighter and that frees up even more hp. but i dont see why he would need to sleeve the cylinders to boost because he didn't thin the cyl. walls that much. i would think stock injectors could cover those demands but idk. I'd say turbo it because it's now more capable then stock. i have a guide on hp/injector rates on my old computer, ill see if i still got it and maybe that will help?

Holy CRAP!! Why would anyone buy cams for a 4th gen 3.5 Altima? Did you know that the cams in these cars are very similar to the cams in the 07-08 350z? Our cams make it possible for us to have a steady rise in power all the way to redline and they do not begin to lose power.

What would shelling out most likely excess of $2,000 do for you when the OEM cams are already better than most OEM cams?

[edit] Oh nevermind you have the 2.5S... but then again why spend so much money in a 2.5S when the 3.5SE was only $2,000 more?

I hope that helped you guys with the questions, some of the mods were a little difficult since they don't makes those parts for the altima but they do make the parts for the QR25DE. As far as install it wasn't hard to make the parts fit, just doing the work was a b****, took a couple days in total because of work (Navy) To the person that asked why I would sleeve the engine when i didn't really thin the wall is because i would thin the wall even more when i decided to boost, so i would more then likely bore it yet again making the total block around 2800cc then sleeve, forged internals, and custom turbo kit but sadly thats down the road since i might have to fulfill a TAD to the gulf in March

My redline is raised to only 6600 rpm at the moment since i am waiting on the valves, valve springs, and valve retainers to get in and then rebuild the top end and get some real redlining going on

Btw everyone who has read this, my current compression ratio is 11:1 because of the type stroker kit, i would drop the compression ratio for boost also of course.

This car is an extreme project for me being a brand new body style and harder to find parts this has been currently relatively successful as far as current build/mods for the car. Emissions hasn't been a big issue from what i have seen currently but i think after it gets turbo'd emission control is going to be a slightly bigger issue.

Probably because it's fun and more of a challenge for him to build a 2.5 and he has the money, but then again idk lol.
