I recently purchased a new vehicle and I'm highly motivated to sell my classic Infiniti Q45. Any reasonable offer will be considered.

KBB for this mileage in Fair condition is listed at ~$3,000 and I'm currently asking for $2,000 for the car due to: 1) my urgency to sell after my recent purchase, and 2) minimal aesthetic issues and rust and windshield crack, despite good/superior mechanical and engine operations.

Pictures Coming Soon/Available On Request

Full Maintenance History with lots of time and $$$ invested in new parts and tuning, 3rd Owner, OEM Anniversary Edition Alloys plus Extra Set of Winter Wheels (17" Lightweight Aluminum Racing Alloys from Japan) and Tires (Blizak LM-22 Winter High Performance, Size:225/50R17). Winter tires and aluminum alloy wheels are negotiable for an extra cost.

The 2000 Q45 Anniversary was the flagship of the Infiniti brand the year of its production, and made in honor of the make's 10th anniversary, following their entry into the U.S. luxury car market in 1990 with the introduction of the original Q45.

The Q45 Anniversary Edition is the highest trim level of any Y33 2nd generation Q45, and features an upgraded interior and Bose sound system in addition to Xenon headlights and the Touring model's electronically dampened and variable self-leveling suspension which boasts both an automatic mode for smooth sailing, and an amazing sport mode ideal for taking down serious stretches at speed as if you were tied to rails.

This car is a fast and stable executive sedan, which appeals to all ages, and all drivers; offering superior driving characteristics: fast, stable, and responsive, yet efficient, smooth and stately if restrained with the gas peddle. Few cars of this class from this period are as performance oriented, and the 2000 Q45 ranks alongside the vaunted Audi S8 in terms of power, speed, 0-60, and prestige; even beating out the BMW 740i in performance and especially scarcity. Driving this car at speed feels like riding the nose of a long board. I've never owned a car this satisfying to drive on the highway, period. (I used to drive an old 560SEL S-Class Mercedes). The Q45 is a beast and easily one of the fastest production cars of its class from 0-60-100MPH.

You will be extremely hard pressed to find such a superior and rare vehicle, especially with this special 10th anniversary trim. This is a special chance to own one of the best and rarest motors/vehicles Nissan and Infiniti have produced. Whether you need a safe and reliable commuter, or you are a die-hard Nismo fan looking to diversify into the VIP scene (yes this is a thing in the Nissan car world) this is a great opportunity.

Investment and Repairs I have made include:

New Torque Converter and Transmission Rebuild
New Rear Suspension (Struts and Springs)
New Belts and Drive Pulleys
New Brake Rotors and Pads
New Tie Rod Ends
New Front Suspension Links

Aesthetic Issues:

Rust: rust along top edge of windshield, rust spots beginning and need body/paint work along seam between bumper and rear wheel well, rust along seam of rear trunk along chrome trim line, paint large bubble on driver's front quarter panel. - MN winters are brutal on cars and I unfortunately used Minneapolis street parking for two long winters :-(

Windshield: Hail damage and the existing rust led to the windshield cracking. This has not spread and was deemed safe by a glass specialist. Quote for glass replacement alone is $250 all in but the rust along the the windshield must be repaired prior.

Mechanical: Engine lights are being thrown by failed knock sensors and a failed EGR Purge Valve Solenoid, neither of which affect the drive-ability or performance of the engine and car. Feel free to ask an Infiniti Mechanic about this.

Suggested Maintenance: after replacing the rear suspension, it was recommend that I look into refurbishing the front suspension, including the struts and lower control arms, ball joints, bushings, etc.

Why such a low price?

Honestly, I need to sell my beloved Q45 after getting a new car, and I lack the resources to keep and insure two cars, let alone address the aesthetic condition issues which prevent this car from being a show stopper. I'll be sad to see it go - I actually named the car Midas due to its gold paint- but I'm sure anyone who took the time to read this will provide a good home for the car.

Thank you for any potential interest.

Serious Buyers may arrange to transact this purchase at a local DMV or license bureau (ideally the Ridgedale location). Payment accepted includes Certified Check, Cash, or Money Order. You will be responsible for any requisite title, tax, or transfer costs, or any other taxes, duties or surcharges required by the state of Minnesota or other pertinent or applicable jurisdictions, licensing, or legal entities.

Superb Nissan/Infiniti VH41DE Aluminum V8 4.1L, see the Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VH_engine

These Q45 motors are frequently used for V8 upgrades and race car modifications to the old Silvia/240SX Nissan coupes; a common practice in New Zealand where these old Nissan motors get serious love. The motor in this alone might be worth while to a Silvia owner looking to make 500HP NISMO dream machine; it would just take the right internals and injector upgrades. This motor easily takes boost (requires turbo, upgraded injectors and fuel pump) and can accept Nitrous Oxide without replacing factory components. Aftermarket Nismo transmissions and old 300ZX Turbo rear-differentials w/ 3.06 final gear ratio are performance bolt on options for lowering gears (increases acceleration in low range) and handling higher HP.

This motor/engine block also accepts the crankshaft and cylinders from the previous generation VH45DE to provide a full 4.5L of displacement. If interested, please see the NICO Club post on transferring a VH45DE Crankdhaft to a VH41DE: step-by-step-rebuild-of-vh45de-crank-in ... 88890.html

If you'd like to put a post here in the Q45 forum, with a link to your ad in the classifieds, you're welcome to do that. That way you'll get exposure in both forums.
