Hello All,

Last week I bought all weather floor mats because my original floor mats was getting really dirty for my 06 infiniti m35.

I spent $150 including tax and shipping but as it turns out it doesnt really fit into my infiniti.

I called and asked the seller about the perfect fit they advertised but they said that all the floor mats are measured CLOSE to the original and if they don't fit then there's nothing they cand do.

So, do you guys know any other website where I can get the all weather floor mats (both front and rear) at a reasonable price?

Also, do you guys happen to know the place where I can buy Infiniti OEM floor mats?

Another story regarding Key fob. I lost my fob because it sled out of the key. So I went to the infiniti dealer at Thousand Oaks to get a new one and they charged me $450. Do you guys think this is reasonable?

They charged parts - $150 Labor - $250 and finally another fee of programming for $50.

And the horrible thing is, my dog chewed on the key fob again and I would have to buy a new one again.

Do you guys know any cheap way around buying a new key fob and programming it?

I was thinking about taking it to Nissan dealer since the labor might be cheaper...

Whoa! I found the fob w/an uncut key on E-Bay for about $85 a few years ago, if I remember correctly. The charge for reprogramming it was $40 @ the local Nissan dealer. Be sure that your new FOB has the same FCC numbers as the one you are replacing. Take all your FOBs in to be reprogrammed; they all need to be the same settings.

Stay away from that dealer...

What floor mats did you buy?

I got all-weather floor mats from an Infiniti dealer and they fit perfectly in my M35x.

Yeah just get an uncut key off of E-bay that matches the serial numbers and have the dealer program and cut it. That's what I did.

I've never had to replace a fob for any of my Nissans, but I bought a brand new Fob for my Lincoln off Ebay for $15. You can program your fob yourself. Keys, however, must be programmed by the dealer.

The M fobs need programming using a Nissan Consult tool. Has to be done at a dealer, AFAIK.

Ahh, crap. I was thinking there was an ignition key insert method that could be used to program them.

What was the labor charge for if they charged you for programming?I think there are too many charges there!

I recommend Ebay for everything as long as you buy from a respected seller and you use Paypal. Paypal protects you if there is a problem!

The 2006+ M is and the G have similar looking keys but the systems will not work with each other. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen people buy fake, broken, damaged, ect and expect them to magically work, that is not always the case.

Why is it whenever it comes to cars people seem to forget if it seems to good to be true that it most likely is.

Before I worked for MB for a little while and their keys were ~$700 and would separate from the metal blade sometimes magically while in our body shop.

In any case Nissan dealers may not be able to program these keys as they do not have a system like this and even their newer systems use a modified version of the system in the G, and they can be tricky for program.

A little over a year ago our local Nissan dealer in our small town of 50k reprogrammed my original and E-Bay fobs for $40; no problemo. Took about 15 minutes as I sipped coffee. They probably added the last 12 minutes to make it seem like I was getting my money's worth...

I feel like I got ripped off after hearing from what you guys paid.

Thousand Oaks Infiniti dealer did ripped me off and I feel horrible about it.

The labor charge was to disassemble the key but again, I asked him what's the different between program fee and he said something but I couldn't recall what he said.

All they did was change batteries and program the key but they charged me separate for the programming and labor.

Anyways, thank you all for your input. I am going to buy a key fob from ebay and go to Nissan dealer for programming next week!
