Probably the best Q ive seen so far, good job.

Just wondering, what did you use if place of the stock amber reflectors?

now that's HID's done right. Sure this weekend might have been dreadful, but you'll enjoy the extra light for years to come! (not to mention that nobody else can copy your style, at least not easily...)

What color temp bulbs did you go with?

Do you have any beam cutfoff pics, of the light shining on something?

not bad. light output will be great, but not a fan of how it looks. it looks really cluttered to me. but, as long as you like it, that's all that matters. good work!

@ Chriss.m --- I just removed the stock amber reflector and painted the interior grill (the fingers your see on the side) FROM chrome to black.. i always wanted to do that

@fueler --- I used 6000Ks on all of them.. so now i have HID in the low beams that have a high beam solenoid, plus the elongated stock projectors in the headlight. so i get high beams from the new projectors and the high beam stock projectors turn on. I had to tap into the high beam wires for the solenoid to make this happen. My fogs are 6000k as well. I have 3 HIDs on this truck now.

In total 4 After market ballasts and 2 stock ballasts. (6 in total)

I am going to post the cut off light pattern tonight

@Innovazn -- I am going to post some pics on the whole process. Do you have a QX4 as well?

@esy -- I absolutely love it. I couldn't have done it better i think for a first timer

@miamiheat --- AHHH i was waiting for your post. Everything cost me 250 CAD but the labor is priceless lol

Man honestly the only thing i was scared of was baking the lights.. so out of scare i just decided to do my Fogs first and be done. But once i did those i said NO LETS DO THE HEADS AS WELL... :lolling: :lolling:

My friend helped me in opening the fist fog and then rest was all me.

I had to make the holder holes much bigger for the projecters to fit through and that took a while. if you see closesly, there are no shrouds which i componsated for by opening the projectors and painting them black to blend and hide, then i used tape (electrical) around the projector to hide the holes since i used the following projectors

For Heads

For Fogs:

i wish i had ordered the bottom ones for both but then i had to change my stock HID bulb setup from D2S to H1 bulbs...

That looks very nice.

Are they supposed to be able to fit through the factory holes? What did you use to make the holes larger, a dremel or a hole saw?

I would trade my pathy for a nice qx4 like that any day. I saw a dark blue 02 model for sale down here one day. It had tan leather interior and I fell in love. It was just a few months after I bought mine...oh well. I love mine now.

I'd like to try it too. Looks awesome. I'd be nervous that I would do some irreversable damage and then have to spend money on a new set of headlights. Lol..

Im debating on it... This summer i will be taking my front end apart as my corner lights are fogging up for some reason.. maybe might get clear corners or see if a local shop would be able to retro fit projectors... i have a few months to decide.... but another heart break is.. i may have to get rid of the pathy as the whol air care ordeal where i live... might have to swap for a Prelude till i save up for a jeep SRT XD

You failed aircare? Do you have any codes? Last time I took mine in, they didn't even hook anything to the exhaust, they just checked odbII and I was on my way. Little did they know, I have a spacer on my down-stream oxygen sensor (no more P0420)... :woot:

i was thinkign about this mod also, how did you mount the projector to the house? did you have to use jb weld to hold them? and was it even to the left and right when you were done?

I used the mini h1 kit from theretrofitsource. The only tip I can give you is to not seal the housing until you've checked if the projectors are clocked in the right position. Which involves installing it back on your car. I was done in about 2 hours.

Hey I like your work you've done on your qx4, I have a similiar 2003 and would like to retrofit my headlights like yours, could you tell me the parts you bought and where, I shop alot on ebay so maybe there. how tough is it to dismount the headlights and fog lights from vehicle? and what do you mean when you say you had to bake them? Thanks
