That was the main thing i wanted spacee..

RaiderKID wrote:looks good man! did you paint it yourself?
Nah.. i was goin to, got up to the boddy fill n i did that sanded n got it down to primer n i just got fustrated n just wanted to get it finished already brought it to shope to finish up the body fill n paint it. 150$ couldnt pass it up it was done in 4 days, me it would of been like another month! lol

coderedk wrote:looks awesome, i have two 12" type r's and they have taken over my trunk lol how much did you spend all together to do this
yeeee lol i didnt wanna loose that space, i snowboard n golf so i need my trunk so worked out niceee.. everything to gether, tough to say cuz i always kept running back to get more stuff. fiberglass must of spent like $40, resin about 85$ or lil more cuz had to get more, fleece was nothing like $4, wood was $8 for a huge pice i could prob still make a reg wooden box lol, body fill was i think about 30$ then had sand paper, n i got the body fill fixed up n painted for 150$. so about 317$ i think.. lol aha wow didnt really notice that.. 167$ if u paint ur selff, ( plus cost of paint) it was all worth it tho.. love it

Looks awesome!

I thought it would be a lot cheaper since you were doing it yourself (i figure a shop would charge $800 or so for what you did)... The fill n paint is really the costly part (and the resin) but after you spent all that time, it would suck if you put a bad paintjob on it!

Now im thinking about how I know a shop on LI that will do the fill n paint for under 100.. hmmm

I am now officially terrified of the posts that are going to occur in about 2 months.

I am moving 2 NICO members into my house in January. (Ryan(93coupe) and Michele (cellardoorv))

Our domestic disputes will be posted for sure in detail. (Michele is a picture junkie)

To the OP: that box looks sick as hell by the way!!

Indeed, Me Michele, Ryan, and Julie were supposed to come to the last meet in NJ. kind of glad that we didnt because it was a 3 hour drive each way, and I read that it was only like a 2 hour meet. Im sure that something will come up before Carlisle.

I'll b n B-more in february... gotta have a welcome back to east coast meet... I'll have a bit of free time until the end of April.. after that, its lights out!

To the OP, good job on the box... sometimes less is more... i kind of miss having a trunk... sort of... well, naww, not really... but good job none the less... most guys don't paint their boxes because stuff in the trunk rolling around will scratch it up ... most of the guys that I know that painted their fiberglass boxes have show trunks and NOTHING goes in it... be careful not to scratch that paint...
